My place is close to the city center, art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, and parks. You’ll love my place because of the location, the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. (10 minute walk to West Stockbridge center, 2 miles from Kripalu Yoga, 3 miles from Lenox center, 35 minutes to Williamstown, 20 minutes to Great Barrington).
Quiet, serene, peaceful place. We treasure nature and the quiet, beautiful views and surroundings at our comfortable, relaxed house.
In addition to the bedroom and private bath, guests can use the living room for quiet activities . Storage for some food in the fridge is available but there are no cooking privileges generally. (Exceptions can be made upon arrival depending on our schedule.)
We work with people so that they have their needs met & we have ours. We treat everyone respectfully & expect the same in return.
Interaction with guests
We can give some pointers on attractions and restaurants in the area if asked.
Other things to note
Unless other arrangements are made, check in is after 4pm on weekdays and after 3pm on weekends . Check out is 11:30am.
The rented room is at the top of one flight of stairs so guests must be able to carry their luggage easily up the 12 stairs. We do not transport luggage but are happy to assist in other ways!
We ask that guests keep noise to a minimum after 9:30pm.
From Jun 15 - Oct 12, 2017 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Artistic & well traveled with sensitive insight and great scope. Both my wife and I are "down to earth", spiritual people. I have been a teacher, manager, Investment banker, artist. We love nature, music, the arts, travel, tennis, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong. I speak Italian; Kelly speaks Mandarin. We have lived all over the world. We lead healthy lives and eat only "food" -- most of which is local. We kayak, ride bikes, and are real people who are authentic, show up, and speak their truth -- the rest is none of our business. We are closest to Zen/Buddhism regarding the journey. We are "bike people" who also use autos as necessary. We cannot live without healthy food, healthy people, the spiritual, classical music, or "dream time". The places we continually travel to are Asia, Italy, the Southwest, Central America. Favorite movie - "Shawshank Redemption" & "Cinema Paradisio". We are mostly vegetarian. Our motto is "Keep it Simple & complete & utter detachment". We are all here together, be kind to one another, and do thyself no harm. We practice patience & humility as forms of "power".
