I stayed here from late August until Mid-December while on an exchange at EUI, and felt very lucky in my long-distance choice of apartment. First, the booking and communication process was easy. Roberto responded to every email immediately, and when I changed my arrival date to conform with my Visa at the last minute, it was no problem. It was so wonderful to be greeted by Roberto when I got to Florence—he is absolutely lovely, and took the time to tell me about the Palazzo and the neighborhood, including which grocery stores were and were not open on a Sunday. Roberto’s office is in the building, so it’s also easy to stop by and ask questions or say hello. The apartment is very comfortable. It’s pretty, spacious, the air conditioning was effective even in the August heat, and even when my husband arrived to stay for 5 weeks, there was plenty of room for both of us to put away our clothes. Some of my friends living nearby complained about street noise in their apartments, but mine was always completely quiet. It was a convenient and very pleasant place to spend several months. The Palazzo itself is beautiful. Roberto kindly showed us some of the historic rooms on the main floor and told us about the history of the building, and we were very happy to have the opportunity. My husband often said that one of his favorite sites in Florence was the Palazzo Pandolfini! Finally—the location is phenomenal. The great museums and churches are all close by, yet the apartment is just outside the most touristy area, so that the neighborhood isn’t crowded and the restaurants and cafes feel local. The block is very nice, and there are tons of conveniences extremely nearby (dry cleaner, grocery stores, coffee shop). Some of our favorite restaurants and aperitivos were within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. While I sometimes walked the 40 minutes to EUI (in San Dominico) the bus stop is so close that I usually just took the bus. If I had the trip to do over again, I would definitely stay here again.

Jacobs Father is very gentle man and he likes to help you in each way....just ask and he will be pleasure to help.... The kitchen is very useful for (URL HIDDEN) has all equipment ....also refrigerator The bedroom is very comfortable...... The only thing I did not like that the window is up.....I thought it will be regular window .....but this is my fault that I did not notice before I rent....

Jacopo's father Roberto greeted me right at the door as the taxi dropped me off and got me settled into the wonderful apartment. The fan, as others have mentioned, is a must in warmer temperatures. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and quiet. All in all, an excellent stay in a beautiful city!

Just remember that the apartment is in a historic building dating in the 1400s. Picture showing kitchen, dining and living room is accurate. As you enter the building there are seven steps of stairs at the entrance lobby, unfortunately it is ill lit, then five steps of stairs to the elevator. Bedroom is furnished with era furniture. Kitchen equipped with induction stove...

Originally from Florence, in the last 6 Years I've been living between USA, South America and mainly Asia, where I have a flat in Shanghai. My mission is to promote Italian wine, hospitality and food. Traveling is my main hobby and living in high standard hotels is my luck. Because of this I developed a certain sense of what is hospitality and what makes travelers feeling at home while on holiday thousand km away from home.
Our apartments and houses have all been in the family for centuries and I hope you will choose to come and experience Tuscany from our windows.
