It was as advertised. Everything you need. Easy access to airport and downtown as well as some walking on the mountain. Pascal was very helpful and pleasant host as well. Great neighbourhood with short walks to eateries and supplies. The place was very clean.

I thought Sant Just Desvern was simply another region of Barcelona as it looks on a map that it is all one big city. The free metro included in your Barcelona card (a great money saver!), does not apply here. It is an area of raising children, getting your car fixed, and buying c…

Response from Pascal:
In 2 years, I have never had a guest such as Monique, she complained about everything before she arrived and after she left. I wish I would have detected this problem earlier in her profile, which would have prevented this very bad and unique experience. Despite an unexpected difficulty in my personal agenda, my wife and I managed to check her in at 2pm, which is the earliest check-in time indicated in the announce. Nevertheless, Monique complained about her check-in. She complained about the location of the studio; well, anyone can see on the map that Sant Just Desvern is not central to Barcelona, but it is well connected with buses and the tram stations just at 5 min walking distance from our door. Sant Just Desvern is a cosy and quiet residential area of Barcelona, close to the mountains. After her first night I received a one page list of complains per email and I visited her immediately to solve any issues; I was received with hysteric shouts and lies, to an unjustified level. I also noted that the apartment temperature was warm and she agreed, despite her complain about the temperature, yes it is chilly in Barcelona in December. I suggested to her that the only way to solve her problem was to find another place to stay in the centre of Barcelona, which she agreed upon. I also insisted that if she would not find any place, she could still be able to come back to Sant Just Desvern. The bad notes that she gives to the accommodation are not justified, as one can see from the other guests comments. Overall I have been very shocked by the attitude of this guest who seemed to be permanently unsatisfied, despite the fact that we did our best to communicate with her, as we do with all our guests.

Pascal was very helpful and nice, he told us about all the areas in the surrounding neighbourhood including transit, food, and supermarkets. He shared his cab with us on our check out date too! The location is close to public transit to Barcelona, so it's not too difficult to mak…

Response from Pascal:
Guys, thanks for the comments ! Mosquitoes are common in Spain during the Summer, especially outside the city, close to the mountains. Everyone travelling to Spain during the summer should get prepared to return with some mosquitoes bites. There are good mosquitoes repellants (creams, sprays) in any supermarket.

Pascal answered emails promptly. Though we arrived at 11 PM, he greeted us with keys & explanations. Pascal is security conscious. Sant Just Desverns is a quiet exurb, good for sleeping. Only one corner store says open late and closest Laundromat open during the day is six blocks…

Pascal is very responsive and welcoming. Sant Just Desvern is a very nice neighborhood with several good restaurants close by. It takes about 15 minutes by bus/tram to the nearest metro station which is Zona University and from there is another 15-30 minutes to various sites in B…

Pascal is a very kind and helpful person, and he gave me nice advice on where I could go in Barcelona. The room is small but has everything you need for a shorter stay, and the apartment is easily accessible by just a two-minute walk from the bus stop.
