In 2 years, I have never had a guest such as Monique, she complained about everything before she arrived and after she left. I wish I would have detected this problem earlier in her profile, which would have prevented this very bad and unique experience.
Despite an unexpected difficulty in my personal agenda, my wife and I managed to check her in at 2pm, which is the earliest check-in time indicated in the announce. Nevertheless, Monique complained about her check-in. She complained about the location of the studio; well, anyone can see on the map that Sant Just Desvern is not central to Barcelona, but it is well connected with buses and the tram stations just at 5 min walking distance from our door. Sant Just Desvern is a cosy and quiet residential area of Barcelona, close to the mountains.
After her first night I received a one page list of complains per email and I visited her immediately to solve any issues; I was received with hysteric shouts and lies, to an unjustified level. I also noted that the apartment temperature was warm and she agreed, despite her complain about the temperature, yes it is chilly in Barcelona in December.
I suggested to her that the only way to solve her problem was to find another place to stay in the centre of Barcelona, which she agreed upon. I also insisted that if she would not find any place, she could still be able to come back to Sant Just Desvern.
The bad notes that she gives to the accommodation are not justified, as one can see from the other guests comments.
Overall I have been very shocked by the attitude of this guest who seemed to be permanently unsatisfied, despite the fact that we did our best to communicate with her, as we do with all our guests.
