Unbeatable location

This 1152 sq. foot home is set on the picturesque West River with the rolling hills of Meadowbank across the water. It is fully furnished with tasteful indoor and outdoor furniture. There is a path to the natural river beachfront and you are 15 minutes to Charlottetown, 40 minutes to Cavendish and 5 minutes to Canoe Cove Beach, 3 golf courses and grocery, restaurants, gas and spirits shopping.

The space
While this is a gorgeous garden province, we do have wild life and yes, we do have mosquitos. My property is sprayed 4 times in tourist season. It definitely helps, it does not get rid of mosquitos entirely. I suggest staying in the city, instead of rural PEI, if this is an issue for you.

Reviews below:

We had a wonderful time, and the house was really nice. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, and took several day trips to beaches, Victoria, and surrounds. It was convenient to all, and the commute to my meeting in Charlottetown was not bad either! We lacked nothing during our stay at the house, and my son lamented that he would miss the view when we left. He fell asleep watching the sun set almost every night of our stay.

Just wanted to let you know that we loved the cottage. Great spot and you thought of everything for people renting. We are already talking about renting for next year!
Thanks again.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your beautiful cottage. It was such a wonderful spot, so peaceful. We did a lot of swimming in the river, there was a seal who loved to sun himself on the beach to the right of the cottage every afternoon. We did a lot of traveling around the island too, and your cottage is located well to access many different spots. So thanks for sharing it with us. It’s a wonderful cottage. You’ve decorated it beautifully. It was so difficult to leave on Saturday.
Elizabeth,

I did not know what to expect upon my arrival in PEI for my vacation. It had been 35 years since I last was on the Island. I could not have been more astonished by the beautiful cottage and property I was fortunate enough to have rented. As I drove through the gate and down the red soil driveway I had a feeling of privacy and solitude. Upon my approach to the cottage the view was incredible. I gazed over the soy bean fields to the sparkling westriver. There was a vast amount of yard and space to play and even a hammock at the far edge of the property for relaxation. The home itself was the perfect size. Three bedrooms well spaced apart with a gorgeous view from the master. The decor and furniture was simple, tasteful and very comfortable. Most importantly, the kids and my wife loved it! I would highly recommend this island cottage for families or for couples. I anxiously look forward to my return.

I just wanted to thank you and let you know what an amazing place you have there. The setting is magnificent overlooking the River. I feel like I was in a Norman Rockwell portrait. I found your home extremely functional with all the modern conveniences at my fingertips. Great place for entertaining guests or just enjoying with your family. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a perfect place to stay. Use me as a reference and they could contact me anytime.

Absolutely the best family vacation home!

We just finished our week's vacation and it was honestly hard to leave because we wanted to live in this vacation home forever! We had our family of four and my parents. The lay out of the home was perfect for space, rest, and privacy. The extra bathroom sink/storage area beside the two bedrooms made it perfect for getting ready! We packed way too much as the owner has truly thought of everything you would ever use for everyday living and vacation. There is an abundance of everything (luxury linens, appliances, amazing mattresses and more). The owner has gone above and beyond to ensure that you feel the luxury of a quality updated vacation home but has incorporated the true feeling of home. So many special touches of a beautiful family heritage. We love our house back home and enjoy the private lake but there is just something that is truly peaceful about this vacation home. The location is absolutely perfect! You certainly get the best of both worlds as you have a quiet oasis but are just minutes away from the "PEI highlights". We had to drop off our son to college so we combined our trip into a family holiday. We were telling the international student coordinator from Holland college about our amazing vacation home and he just had to check it out. He was also very impressed and said he was thankful to be able to have this place to recommend to future families. We have already passed on recommendations to our friends and family back home. If we ever get the privilege to stay for a week in PEI again we can't imagine staying anywhere else. It was a blessing and a gift to our entire family to stay at the Westville Villa. We will be forever grateful!

Amazing location. So close to the local attractions and things to do. It is also great to come home at the end of the day to such a private and serene setting. The internal amenities are better than my own home; ample bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, everything you need!

A tiny slice of heaven for a week.

Thanks again Lisa for renting your beautiful house to us. From the moment we drove down the red dirt road and the cottage came into view, we knew we had chosen the perfect place for our family vacation. The home was equipped with absolutely every appliance and amenity needed for a comfortable weeks vacation. The washer and dryer was so convenient considering we travelled with our 4 little boys ages 7-7 months. Our boys loved the swings and played together for hours on the hammocks and in the grass- running and using their imagination. We were able to drive short distances to see many parts of the island and found it easy to access groceries, gas and our 2 favourite beaches: Canoe Cove and Argyle Shore. We enjoyed a campfire every night and absolutely loved the view from the master bedroom. Watching the sunrises each morning on this property was certainly a highlight. Staying at Westville vista was certainly everything and more that we had hoped for. A tiny slice of heaven for a week. A scene from a story book. Each member of our family made some very special memories that we will cherish forever. Thank you and feel free to post my review! We certainly hope to return again. Kind Regards, The Hurley's

Guest access
The guests have full private access to the yard and over 2 acres of surrounding land. Guests have full access to the interior of the home, other than two locked closets that the owner manages for their own supplies.

Other things to note
Please understand when booking this property that it is rural, surrounded by farm land and on the westriver and the inlet. PEI is known for mosquitos, especially rural properties. I spray for mosquitos 4 x a season. It definitely helps but does not get rid of them. I am always surprised when this is mentioned in reviews as it is clearly mentioned in the property information that is sent out and in the description. I also cannot control if wasps decide to make a home in one of my trees - just saying! These things are managed as best I can within reason to respecting nature.

NOTE: I have travelled extensively and have stayed in Airbnb's in over 10 countries. I never fuss or complain if they don't leave me paper towel. I am satisfied with one roll of toilet paper and one extra. I have also never been set up wih coffee or any spices, which includes salt and pepper. I expect to go to a supermarket on the day I arrive to buy my basic supplies, which include extra toilet paper and paper towel. I provide more amenities at my properties than I have ever experienced at any Airbnb that I have stayed in.

Friendly Reminder; You have not booked a hotel stay where you have daily cleaning service and unlimited supply of toilet paper and kleenex. I start my guests with one roll of toilet paper plus three extra double rolls, (equivalant to 8 single rolls). If this does not suffice, please do not publicly complain. Perhaps you would consider booking a hotel instead. I do not charge hotel prices therefore please understand the difference. I am happy to provide unlimited paper products and even coffee and charge a nightly rate of $800.00.
