The space
All cleaning is proactive in disinfecting commonly touched surfaces and guests are provided with additional items to use during their stay to maintain optimal hygiene for the safety and consideration of everyone.
The lower level is clean, bright, cozy, & simply furnished in a wood panel room (bringing back the 70's! 🙂). A comfy quiet living room-style main area is perfect to relax or work. There is complimentary tea 🍵& ☕ coffee available.
📺The TV has basic channels, a DVD player, plus an HDMI cable if you want to hook up your laptop. There is brand new carpet throughout the space, so please be mindful. If spills occur, paper towels are available at the tea table & just let me know ASAP and I can clean it properly. Thank you!
🛌Your bedroom has a double bed that fits two comfortably with a cozy duvet, CosyHouse Collection sheets, hypoallergenic pillows, extra blankets, a closet to hang items and a big bright window. Please no food or drinks (other than water) in the bedroom.
🆕 A full-size air mattress can also be set up in the living room space for a 3rd person that may be traveling with you! Just let me know when you book so I can prepare the linens!

🛀Your own private bathroom has a large tub (& shower🚿) is perfect for soaking & relaxing (*please* be advised that the jacuzzi jets do not function, please don't press buttons*). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream and lotions available for you to use during your stay.

You are welcome to chill on the back deck, or take a stroll up the street to the park! I also have additional recommendations for places and restaurants around the city if you are interested!

This neighborhood is a combination of secluded yet easy access to Beltline to drive downtown, UW Hospital & Clinics, Camp Randall Stadium, & UW campus. Biking trails are so close (3 min!) and take you around the whole city, Capital Trail, country side! I do have space to safely store your bikes! I am in Madison, but on the border of Fitchburg so there is easy access to McKee Rd which has good food spots, coffee shops, and a great shopping area including HyVee grocery and Super Target. I love being so close to a park (just up the street!) & Dunn's Marsh bike/walk trails only 7 minute walk away. Free Henry Vilas Zoo near Lake Wingra!

Restaurants: **I highly encourage you to call the places first to check current hours, whether carry-out only or dining restrictions at this time** use your maps app to confirm closest location. Thanks!
There are some yummy, cost-friendly ones within short 2 to 10 minute drive:
-Breakfast:
Barriques on McKee Rd or Monroe St (coffee shop, wine & beer), Pancake Cafe, Colectivo on Monroe (coffee shop), Perkins(24 hours)

-Lunch/Dinner:
Bonfyre, Perkins, Culver's, HyVee Market Grill (in the HyVee grocery on McKee), Thai Noodle, Subway, Funk's Pub, The Badger Tavern (walkable if you really want although no sidewalks however a bike lane to the overpass bridge)
Check out Monroe Street for some excellent, reasonably priced spots and local shops! (Everly, The Laurel Tavern, Michael's ice cream, Jacs, Miko Poke, etc)

If you choose to eat in the space, Please use the table or TV trays, napkins and cutlery in the refreshment table. Please NO FOOD in the Bedroom!

Feel free to have food delivered!! Be sure to meet the driver at the fence entrance so they don’t mistakenly go to the front door.

I’m Brienne (“Bree-EHN”; she/her/hers). I’m a lover of travel & learning about new places! This awesome city has so many wonderful activities! For me and my gorgeous daughter, we particularly love the lakes! Autumn is one of the best seasons around here. I am a full-time speech/voice pathologist; I love to travel (Australia, Thailand & Japan are on the bucket list), yoga, reading and napping! I value simplicity, loving-kindness, and communication. I'm a big fan of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) % dark chocolate too! I am very fortunate to work from home as Vocal Empowerment Coach (speciality training as a Speech-Voice Pathologist) for women who use their voice >75% of their day to do their jobs (I.e. Vocal athletes). I help them conquer vocal fatigue, elevate voice wellness & tap into the power of their inner voice to show up as they truly are for more influence and impact! Follow me on social- (Hidden by Airbnb) or IG @yourvocalvitality. I have had great experiences staying with Airbnb hosts. After traveling years ago with a group called Up With People, I have been drawn to meeting people in a variety of ways from all over the world and am fascinated to hear people's stories. Everyone has a story. What is yours? :-)
