We loved how friendly and pleasant Babun and one other guy was during our stay. (Hidden by Airbnb) replies were fast, and breakfast was served and even packed away for us when we had to head out earlier than usual! The bungalows were very pretty and I love how Javanese tradition …

The setting is excellent for those looking to get away from city life, yet still require the comfort of modern amenities. Padi field right outside the window, rooster crowing at dawn and random chicken roaming freely are some of the things you can expect to experience.

Beautiful accommodation that is complemented by staff who are truly attentive and warm. The only downside is that the township features several mosques that have competing prayer times at sunrise and throughout the day, but the resort thoughtfully provides ear plugs in case you w…

Thanks Shannon, It was lovely having you with us here in Tembi and it's great to know that you will come again. Rearding the mosques, yes there can be no doubt Jogjakarta is a predominantly Islamic city and hence has the call to prayer. Personally I find this as somthing quite special and something to expect if you visit an islamic area anywhere in the world. Yabbiekayu is located at the very edge of the village as far from a mosque as possible in every direction. I myself sleep there regularly and unfortunately never get woken by the all to prayer, even though I quite like it. We do know that light sleeping guests who are not used to te all to prayer may be disturbed so we do provide an endless supply of the best quality and most comfortable ear plugs, but to be honest my advice is to get up and watch the sun rise across the rice paddies as the fireflies disappear for the day in the mist and the call echoes across the fields :) So glad you enjoyed the massages, the eldely women we use in teh village are amazing having massaged for decades. Next time please let us show you the local batik gallery, art gallery, museum, cultural centre, restaurants, spa and other local attractions.
