Our house was designed by a Belgian architect. It is modern, bright and spacious (160 m2). It is ideally situated to visit both Lille (15 minutes), Northern France as well as Belgium and its beautiful medieval cities (Brugge, Gent...). The house is in a dead end street (so no traffic noise!). It is perfect for a couple or for a family with 2 or 3 children.
The house is really beautiful! It is bright all year round with glass windows looking onto the garden. The garden is fully secured and perfect for children with a nice playing area (slide and swings). On the ground floor, there is an open-plan kitchen, a large living-room and dining-room with a table for 8 people. On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms: 1 master bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite shower room (huge step-in shower) and 2 kid bedrooms with one single bed in each bedroom. In one of the 2 kid bedrooms, a small double bed can be added for another child, 2 small children or an adult. In the other kid bedroom, a baby cot (foldable baby bed) can be added if needed. On the first floor, you will also find a second bathroom with a bath as well as a study area that can be used for working on your own laptop computer.
Interaction with guests
We are available at all time if needed. A house and region guide is available upon arrival but our guests are welcome to contact us anytime for any question or information. We will be very happy to help them plan their stay.
Other things to note
Please, note that this house is the place where our family lives everyday with our two little girls. Though it is absolutely neat and clean when we leave it for our guests, there may be some scribbling or a little scratch here and there... If that doesn't bother you, well you have found the place you were looking for, and we are sure you are going to love it!
We are a family of 4 persons: I (Sophie), my husband (Jean-François), our 4 year old daughter Elise, and our baby girl (Claire) who is one year old. Elise and Claire are well-behaved lovely little girls. They are used to traveling a lot with us. My husband and I are both teachers in France, though we have lived in Belgium for quite a few years now. We love travelling and exploring the world. We are currently on a home exchange site, and we usually exchange our home in Belgium 8 or 10 times a year (every holiday period!). So we are very respectful of all the places where we stay.
