On the topfloor of our canalhouse we have a newly renovated studioappartment (35m2). Within walking distance of damsquare, museumsquare and around the corner from the Anne Frankhouse. Lots of nice restaurants and bars in the neighberhood, the kitchen is also fully equiped if you want to stay in

The space

Lovely renovated studio in a 19th century canalhouse.

Guest access

You will have your own frontdoor. The studio has its own bathroom and kitchen. There is free coffee and tea and you can buy wine. our rooftop terrace is also available for guests.

Other things to note

The studio is on the 4th floor. With a typical steep Amsterdam staircase you will probably be out of breath a little bit if you are not used to this and have heavy lugage.

Please be quite on the stairway. Our little boys sleep during lunchtime and in the evenings and they wake up if people are loud in the stairway. Also the people who we rent the second and third floor to are very nice people of 80 years old, we don't want to bother them with any noise complaints.

Janneke's place was nice, good value. Although, some kitchen amenities were missing, such as a toaster, kettle and an oven pan. Wifi was super slow, and not working most times. But besides that, Janneke and her husband were great hosts and kept in communication throughout our stay.

Good location, a bit away from busier end of town. Great recommendations on places to visit/dine at in the area. Would recommend.

This was a great loft in Amsterdam! It was clean, nicely decorated and had all of the basics that you need (bed, bath, kitchen etc.). It was easy to get to via transit and it was within walking distance to Anne Frank House and the downtown core area. The stairs to get up to the loft are a bit treacherous but otherwise it's a great option. Our hosts gave some great dining recommendations but be sure to bring your own shampoo and soap as that wasn't included. Overall we had enjoyed our stay - I would definitely recommend this location.

I really like the location of this place, and we have travelled around the world on AirBnB, and location is important. I hate to write less than five star review, but we found the place to be quite stark, and a bit dirty. Upon check-in, there was hair in the sink left over from shaving. There were footprints in the shower from boots. The couch had a white food stain on it, and the cushions were full of crumbs and debris. The only reason we noticed this, is that our keys fell inside! It did not give us an overall impression of cleanliness, or value for our money. I would also add there was no coffee as advertised. Additionally, there was no basic amenities. There is no salt or pepper, or anything to assist in cooking aside from plates (and also broken glasses). The hand soap in the bathroom had run out. The studio itself is rather stark since there are no rugs, no decor, no books, or anything that one might be accustomed to if they had stayed at truly five star rated AirBnB. There are dishes and that is the extent of it. Janneke was very nice, and check-in was convenient, but I feel that the place has really been skimped on. She did give us a free breakfast since we could not use the rooftop terrace due to damage or the shower for 24 hours due to remodel. I think the place needs a good clean-up, and some more "coziness" added to it. This is more of a house for young college kids, and not anything for adults or anyone looking for comfort. I would also add that this place is not suitable for anyone with health issues (balance, age, weight, disability, knee, or otherwise) due to the stairs, but that is expected in Amsterdam due to the canal houses.

We had a very nice stay in Janneke's studio. It is ideally located and close to public transport. In addition, Janneke was very kind to us and accomodating. A great place to visit Amsterdam!
