You can go kayaking on the River Lea on Saturday mornings at 9:30 for £10 and there's also horse riding available in the marshes and an ice rink. There are also a couple of good pubs on the river with a selection of ales and good food. There's a lovely walk along the River Lea/canal via the Olympic Park and the more adventurous can walk to the River Thames.
ArtFund Museum of the Year 2013, the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow is a must see as is the Vestry House Museum and C12 church in Walthamstow village. Free live Jazz at the Nags Head and the Bell pubs on Sundays is also a must! There are also a number of great restaurants in Walthamstow village where you can also buy the famous Eat17 bacon jam.
