About this listing
This is a brand new unit (October 2016) converted from an 18th century outbuilding which was once the toilet block for Kilmanarock Public School. The Old School was closed in 1907 and now operates as an established 4 star B&B where the owner lives in.
Architecturally designed and meeting modern construction standards, Siberian Larch clads a new extension to the original stone building creating a unique space ideal for 2 to 4. A great place to explore Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.
The building is designed as a one-bedded apartment with top quality fixtures and fittings. A small ensuite toilet adjoins the hotel quality bedroom with zip-linked king size bed that converts to twin beds, on request, oak bedroom furniture and TV.
The place is heated by a thermostatically controlled LPG combination boiler providing instant hot water as well as central heating. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with small freezer compartment, oven, hob and microwave.
The open plan diner/lounge provides a cosy space to relax with a lovely log burner and SMART TV to watch TV or stream video or film via the internet.
Free WIFI is throughout.
A four piece bathroom with bath and stand-alone shower completes the apartment. A private courtyard with table and chairs can be accessed through French doors off the lounge or from the bedroom.
The apartment is self-contained for guest use. The adjoining B&B has a large garden and the guests are welcome to use that area too. Free parking is available and there is space to store bikes, on request.
Interaction with guests
There is usually someone around in the adjoining B&B if help is needed during your stay.

Left a career in banking in 2004 and escaped city life. Always a country person at heart, I now own the bed and breakfast and enjoy the outdoor life when ever I get a break. Keen hiker, runner, cyclist, skier and adventure traveller. I'm very easy going, love helping people get the most out of the area.
