We stayed at Katurah's place when we came in for the US Open, and it was perfect for our needs - a clean, private apartment close to multiple subway lines. The building itself was quiet, and Katurah was very clear with check-in / checkout instructions. If you're flying solo or with a significant other for a quick trip to the city, this place is perfect as a home base in BK.

If location is your primary concern, Katurah's place is a great choice. It's literally right next to the C and off Fulton, a few blocks from the G, and around the corner from one of my favorite restaurants ever, Sisters. Clinton Hill is one of my favorite Brooklyn neighborhoods. It's also walking distance to BedStuy and Fort Greene (which has a gorgeous park!). As a fair warning, I would not describe this spot as a "large" studio per the description. The apt is about the size of my bedroom at home. It's great for crashing - quiet with air conditioning too! And the yard looked cute for daytime. But it's a room with a kitchenette, futon and bed, with a small bathroom attached. You'll definitely know you're in NYC! This is also her home so it's furnished; not much room to unpack. Great for a 1-2 night stay when you just need to sleep. I wouldn't recommend for people staying longer who want to settle in, cook, or do a lot of hanging at the apt. Once we were able to reach Katurah her communication was great. Unfortunately we weren't able to reach her for a few hours when we were supposed to check in as her message with keys/entry info didn't go through because she was out of the country. We nearly had to find a place else to stay. But once she got back to us, she was super on top of it and gracious. For people on a budget who just need a place to stay and want to be in an awesome neighborhood with good transit, this will work great.

The apartment was a bit dusty, wasn't able to really use the outdoor patio or the (moldy) hammock because it was so dirty. Also, the couch was not a pullout couch and the couch pillows had cat hair on them so I had very uncomfortable sleep. OVERALL it wasn't a bad stay, it was just okay. It had great location, I would just say this apartment accommodates 2 people, and not 4.

This neighborhood is really convenient and cute, literally half a block from the subway and pretty close to the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park. The apartment has an air conditioner!!!

Cozy space with a nice back yard under a shady tree, perfect for a summer evening. It's proximity to Manhatten bound subways make it convenient for anyone looking to split their day between the big Apple and the quaint streets of Brooklyn.

Katurah's place was just as described. Communication was great and Katurah was very helpful and welcoming from beginning to end. We loved the convenience of having the C train right outside the door and will definitely return if possible! Thanks Katurah!!!

katurah's place is located at a great location in Brooklyn! I felt safe walking around her neighbourgh, cute cafes and places to eat and best of all the subway station is only steps from her apartment (same block) only 4 stops away from the Brooklyn bridge and 30-40 minutes to manhattan by train. The apartment is great for a couple or a single person since it's a small bachelor apartment, the patio is very cute and best of all is private! Parking- not recommended for parking, I drove my car from Toronto to NY and parking was really hard to find around the neighbourhood, so I had to leave my car on a 24hour private garage about 10 minutes from the apartment for $25 a day. (Katurah did mention that parking might or not be available on the street and some required meter payment) I hope this review it's helpful! Thanks again!!

Hi Greta, I enjoyed hosting you! So sorry you were unable to find parking. Yes, the street parking directly in front of the house is definitely busier during the weekends so finding that perfect spot requires a little maneuvering. However, there is always public parking on the direct cross street Fulton because of the many bars, restaurants, and shops. Next time you come to Brooklyn I'll show you so you don't ever have to pay for private parking. Best of luck and safe travels! :)

A young lawyer in NY, balancing fun, food, friends, and family. I aim to be active (usually in the form of long hikes) and traveling to amazing places (most recently Australia, New Zealand, and France) but can sometimes find myself in the middle of a long Netflix binge as well- depends on the day! Either way, I try to laugh everyday and live life to the fullest!

AS A HOST: I've been a guest at MANY airbnbs, either as a friend's guest or as a guest myself. From these experiences, I've learned exactly what I'd like to have as a guest --comfort, cleanliness, communication, and a relaxing place--and so I try to make sure ALL my guests have this experience when they stay at my place. Enjoy!
