Welcome to our slice of paradise among the hop fields on the outskirts of Motueka. The Hop Inn is a unique, character-filled guesthouse, lovingly renovated with rustic charm and all you need for a short stay. Minutes from beaches, rivers, wineries, mountains and national parks, it’s the perfect gateway to Abel Tasman, Kaiteriteri, and Golden Bay. Private and family-friendly, ideal for a romantic getaway or a relaxed family stay, with an expansive garden and play area with basketball court.

The space
The Hop Inn is situated 5 minutes outside of Motueka. The town has everything you need, including restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. There is also a 24-hour laundrette.

Our property has a large garden with a basketball court and plenty of space to play or relax, as well as free off-street parking.

Please bear in mind the guest house has a kitchenette with a toaster, kettle, fridge and sink. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT have cooking facilities.

Guest access
You are welcome to use the garden area in front of The Hop Inn, including the basketball court. There is an outdoor table and chairs for Hop Inn guests to enjoy.

Other things to note
Please note that the guest house can accommodate up to six people, including the sofa bed. However, the sofa bed is best suited to smaller guests—ideally children. As the space is quite compact, it may feel a little cramped for six adults, especially with luggage. That said, a family of five or six may find it quite comfortable.
