Other things to note
Full disclosure about all the charming quirks of a historic home...

**Winter months disclosure** Between Nov and March our almost 100 year old house uses a radiator to heat the home. Between the hours of 9am-8pm you might hear some slight banging. I assure you, they are not ghosts!

As is also the case with charming old houses, there are some creaks and squeaks that come along with the charm. You might hear some foot steps above as the basement apartment is part of the house.

The ceilings are sufficiently tall but if you are on the taller side it might feel a little cramped.

We also have one well trained and very loving dog that lives upstairs. We usually let her out the front, but be aware that it is possible you might meet your furry host on occasion.

I'm a mother, teacher, and all-around-arts-and-crafter who loves clean, cozy spaces and thoughtful design. I also love old, well-built homes -- a passion that started when I lived in the Bay Area. When my family decided to move to Chicago, I took one look at the beautiful old homes in Oak Park and thought, "I know what to do with one of these!" Now I get to share what I've created with guests from around the world!
