The Farm Pod has a modern and eclectic style with a hint of 1960s flare. It is located in the grounds of Twamley Farm homestead with its own private garden and outdoor area featuring one of our wood fired cedar hot tubs.

With a double bedroom, it is ideal for couples or solo adventurers.

The space
Perfect as a romantic country getaway for two. A contemporary and modern space with some retro touches, the Farm Pod has a fully self-contained kitchen, double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and funky lounge dining area that opens onto the front deck for enjoying the morning sun and views of Twamley Farm. It offers a well stocked gourmet mini bar, full breakfast provisions, Nespresso coffee pod machine and gourmet pre-prepared meals on hand. You will enjoy relaxing by the outdoor fire pot with a glass of our local East Coast pinot noir or getting out in the country air, exploring the farm and surrounding bushland. Grab one of our mountain bikes and explore Twamley Farm's many bush trails.

Twamley Farm offers a series of short and longer bushwalks that allow you to explore the farm and is the perfect base to go behind the scenery and discover some of the East Coast's hidden treasures. Visit the magical Maria Island National Park for the day (ferry departs from the Triabunna Marina) a must see for any visitor to our Spring Bay region. Alternatively, discover the intriguing story behind the historic St John the Baptist Church Buckland, explore the local beaches or enjoy a drive up the East Coast Wine Route to visit the many vineyards along the way.

You could just stop a while, wind down, relax, enjoy a beer at the Buckland pub and get to know some of the interesting local characters.

Our family has lived and farmed in the Buckland area on the East Coast of Tasmania since the 1840s. We are passionate about historic buildings and allowing others to enjoy the pleasure of these buildings with a modern and contemporary edge. The Storekeeper's Boutique Accommodation, The Stable at Twamley Farm and most recently the Farm Pod are the first of many such properties we hope to offer to visitors in order to experience a unique and authentic visit to Tasmania. We understand the importance of attention to detail, quality and aesthetics in creating an enjoyable and indulgent short break experience. We're also very excited about where our food and wine culture is going in Tasmania and so aim to bring you some of the best of Tasmanian products in your experience at The Storekeeper's, Farm Pod and The Stable.
