Live in history. Your 18th century cottage is in the heart of the Landmark Historic District. Have a drink on the front porch rocking chairs as you watch the horse-drawn carriages clip-clopping to City Market. Smell the jasmine from the courtyard garden on your Juliet balcony. Comfortable and private, it features exposed interior old-growth pine beams, antiques, free private parking, and an authentic sense of place. We live next door for any needs you may have. The 6% hotel tax is included.

The space
The cottage will be unoccupied for 72 hours before you arrive and I am following enhanced Airbnb cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
Historic 1799 guest house Laura's Cottage sits in a prime location in the heart of Savannah's world famous Landmark District in a small private urban woodland. Only .3 mile to River Street, it is minutes from renowned restaurants, SCAD, house museums, art galleries, and shopping. Superb antique furniture, original region artwork, Gullah sweetgrass baskets and antique carpets grace this authentic period building. With complete kitchen and laundry, spacious bedroom with queen bed and upstairs bathroom, and living room daybed with 2 twin beds, Laura's Cottage has everything you need for complete comfort and privacy. "Smart" tv, DVDs of films which use Savannah as location spots, wifi access, and on site, free private parking are provided.
Over 1000 square feet of unique charm, the cottage was used in the filming of Robert Redford's film The Conspirator, and is a favorite with local ghost tours. It has been on the Savannah Tour of Homes and you will not find another space like it in Savannah. If you want to experience an authentic sense of place with top amenities, Laura's Cottage is for you. SVR#00022

Mu husband and I live next door to the cottage and we love being able to walk to fabulous restaurants and unique house museums. Savannah is a walker's paradise. The squares of Savannah are green and beautiful, with incredible live oak trees and landscaping. Although we are close to the action, our block is a quiet residential section. Visually stunning, Savannah is always surprising us, even after 40 years!

I enjoy bicycling, hosting, and salt water. My husband's furniture making has evolved to playing guitar and fishing. We both enjoy traveling, reading, and discovering new hidden gems in this beautiful city.
During your stay
I like to make sure that my guests are settled and comfortable. Then it's up to the guest. I like to give them privacy, but I am available when needed.
