The house is ideal for young families: 1600 sq ft, 2 bedrooms (+ nursery w. crib), gourmet kitchen, 3 levels, 3 decks, w. views over Kits Beach, English Bay, the North Shore mountains. The dynamic neighbourhood of Kitsilano with its great restaurants and shopping, Kitsilano Beach, Granville Island, UBC, public transit, running and cycling; it's all here.

The space
Our beachfront, corner house offers beautiful views in every direction; across Kitsilano Beach Park to English Bay, Georgia Straight and the North Shore mountains. The home is light-filled, airy, well appointed and perfect for a young family, and it's ideally located for walking, biking, and public-transit access to Vancouver's attractions.

We're in Kitsilano Point, a unique and exclusive enclave surrounded by beaches and parks. It's quiet, except on the sunniest summer days, when it's lively and filled with beachgoers. Though it's in the heart of Vancouver the neighbourhood has no through streets. Vancouver's best shops and restaurants, UBC, downtown and Stanley Park are just minutes away on foot, by bike or by car.

The top floor master bedroom has two decks, an en-suite bathroom, views, and a king bed with an excellent mattress and premium linens. Connected to the master bedroom is a light-filled workspace/nursery with a crib and desk. A ground floor second bedroom has twin and double beds, a gas fireplace, as well as its own full bathroom.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and includes an Espro coffee press, juicer, gas stove, Weber gas BBQ, gourmet cooking gear and, of course, an ocean view. The kitchen, living room and dining rooms on the middle floor have commanding views over the beach. Decks offer afternoon views to the ocean and morning sun on an east facing deck.

The finishings and furnishings are suited to the beach-side location; marble, granite, and hardwood, with comfortable, oversized sofa and chairs, large TV with cable, Apple TV with Netflix, and all the media you'd want. The home is wired for sound with a dozen speakers spread throughout and has high-speed wi-fi.

The home is professionally cleaned immediately prior to and following each stay. For longer stays regular cleaning can be included.

At the opposite end of our block are stops for both east and west going city buses, and a short walk away is a stop for the False Creek Ferries. The nearest station on the Canada Line, the rail line to the airport, is just 5 minutes by taxi. Taxi fare to and from the airport is a fixed $31.

Kitsilano Point is Vancouver's most central single family home neighbourhood. It's surrounded on three sides by parks and on two sides by ocean yet offers the best of Vancouver's urban attractions just a short walk, cycle, or drive away.

Out our front door is Kits Beach, with beach volleyball, tournament level tennis courts and the amazing Kits Pool.

Granville Island is a short walk along the waterfront.

Downtown, False Creek and 4th Avenue are also each a short walk or cycle away. Dozens of restaurants and shops including Whole Foods, Lululemon, and some of Vancouver's best restaurants, bars, clothing and sports stores are a short walk from our home on 4th Avenue.

Public transit is available at the end of the block and we are 5 minutes by taxi to the train connecting Vancouver to the airport.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum, the Museum of Vancouver, the Pacific Space Centre, and the Vancouver Academy of Music are all located in the neighbourhood, just minutes walking distance. UBC is ten minutes away by car, as are Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge. Grouse Mountain is 20-25 minutes by car.

You won't find a more central location that also offers the charms of Vancouver's spectacular natural beauty and you'll find very few waterfront, single family homes listed on Airbnb.
