📝 Important Notes

🚫 No parties or events this is a quiet lake community.
🔥 Fire pit available; obey fire bans & never leave fires unattended. Ensure the fire is fully extinguished before leaving.
🚯 Guests must take garbage to the local dump on departure. Do not leave any garbage outside or overnight.
🚽 Septic system: No foreign objects of any kind in toilets- toilet paper only, no food or oil down any sinks or drains or toilets.
🛶 Life jackets required for all watercraft use (not supplied).
🧹 Departure cleaning included please leave the cottage tidy.

Guests have access to entire property minus the garage and shed, and basement.

We’re excited to welcome you! Below is a simple guide to help you enjoy a smooth and comfortable stay.

🗑️ Garbage & Recycling

Please use the garbage bags provided under the sink or in the cabinet.

Do not leave garbage outside as wildlife may access it.

Guests are responsible for taking all garbage and recycling to the Bon Echo Waste Transfer Station located along Salmon Lake Rd, on your way out.

Prefer not to handle disposal? We offer a garbage removal service for $150. Kindly request this before check-in.

🛏️ Linens & Towels

All bedding is provided (sheets, pillowcases, blankets, comforter).

Each guest is supplied with one towel. Please bring beach towels for outside and lake use.

🌐 Internet

High-speed WiFi is available.

Access details will be shared upon arrival.

Both TV’s include Amazon Fire Stick with Netflix, Disney+, Prime, Crave, and more (log into your accounts). We also have Bell five TV for cable channels on both televisions.

🚣 Watercraft/ Lake Access

Important: Use safety measures when on the water.

Swimming, boating, water activities are at your own risk- no lifeguard on duty.

Life jackets are not supplied, so please bring your own.

Always wear a life jacket when using any watercraft.

2 Kayaks and 2 paddle boards are located under the deck.

Kindly return equipment to the same locations after use.

🚽 Septic System (Important)

The cottage uses a sensitive septic system. Please help us keep it running well.

Do NOT flush:

ANY foreign objects

Only 2 ply toilet paper should go into the toilet.

NO grease or food particles, or any antibacterial products should go down ANY drains.

💧💦 Water

Tap water is used for showering, cooking and cleaning.
Bring water for drinking
1 case of bottled water is supplied, along with large water jugs for coffee, drinking and ice maker.

🔥 Fire Pit

Located at the water’s edge.

Please use safely and responsibly.

Avoid large fires, and following local fire bans is mandatory to ensure public safety and to prevent wildfires

Pick up firewood at the grocery store. You are able to use any wood located under the deck.

Never leave a fire unattended.

Use buckets of water to fully extinguish after use.

🍽️ BBQ

BBQ (with utensils and propane tank) is provided.

We do our best to ensure propane is full at check-in.

Safety reminder: NEVER ignite the BBQ with the lid closed.

Ensure proper ventilation and caution before lighting.

🪑 Patio & Outdoor Seating

Multiple patio chairs, couches, and outdoor furniture are available for your enjoyment. Please put all items back to their original location.
(The cushions for the green chairs on small deck are in grey bin by the steps).

🧹 Cleaning

Your cleaning and laundry fee covers a full turnover after your stay.
We kindly ask that you help keep the cottage tidy during your visit.

🚤 Boat Launch

Boat launching is available at Otter Lake Marina. Please stay clear of our water line which is marked with a large white buoy at top of dock. Failure to do so will result in a large fine.
