A colourful home-away-from-home that is close enough to the action while away from the chaos and noise. Walk out the front door to the Central Escalators, making navigating HK a breeze and unending food, entertainment, and sightseeing options all from your walk "home." Bedroom looks onto Victoria Peak, with full access to kitchen with laundry, a pool (season permitting), and flat is near markets, food, coffee, dry cleaning. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Hong Kong is known for having small apartments, but this flat allows you to breathe and recover from your day without having a neighbour staring at you from across the way!
Spacious 2 bedroom and I've turned the small bedroom into a very large closet/yoga room. Bedroom has a lock on it and contains a double bed against one wall, and a desk in the alcove, overlooking the mountainside.
The main room has a coral couch that can become a sofa bed, a giant yellow arm chair, and a drop-leaf table with chairs. Great to come back from a day exploring and plop down in a cheery atmosphere with views that allow your mind to rest.
The building has entrances on two major streets for extra convenience. If you enter on Conduit Rd the doorman will buzz you in and if you enter from the Central Escalators (Robinson Rd), just smile and wait and they'll come to open the door. If you have large or heavy suitcases, use the Conduit Rd entrance as there are less stairs!
There may be an Octopus card coded for building entrance that will be left on the table for you. You can use it to enter the building, as the doormen may not open the door for you automatically if they don't recognise you. Please return it when you leave. I usually just wave when I approach the door and they open it -- I have never needed my card. If they ask if you're visiting, say "no" because carrying on in English can be tricky for them.
The pool cards, required to access the pool on level P via the lift, are in the small green/blue ceramic box on the table in the living room. Simply hand the "life guard" a pass when you come to the pool, and be sure to take it back when you leave.
Interaction with guests
I am always reachable via phone: AirBnB app, iMessage, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), or FaceTime Audio while away, but will likely not be in Hong Kong during your stay. However, if you have any questions about the flat, the neighbourhood, or things to do, I'm happy to answer!
Other things to note
No smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector; not applicable in HK. The building does have an evacuation alarm in case of emergency.
I chose my job so I could travel -- wherever, whenever, meet whoever. I work a ton, enjoy meeting people wherever I go and try new things wherever I am. Love music and live performance, I will stay out dancing all night or stay in with a book. Mostly I want to try new foods and eat whatever local foods I can.
I believe in leaving places in a better state than when I found them, and enjoy listening to hosts' suggestions for what's the best thing to do in their city.
