Our trailer is in the middle of a green paradise and is still only 15 minutes away from downtown Hamburg by car. It is offering a cozy hide away for couples or solo travelers, who want to relax. You can go on great hikes, do water sports and experience nature in this area. The bathroom will be shared with us. It is in our house next door. If you would like, you can get a nice breakfast in our kitchen for an additional charge.

The space
Our trailer makes the impossible possible: a country holiday in the city! Enjoy the simple and quiet country life, without having to give up essential achievements: in the car there is a gas stove, where you can cook a coffee or tea. There are crockery and silverware as well as a basic equipment for cooking. There is electricity installed and thanks to an electric water pump you also have running cold water - for a cat's lick, tooth brushing or similar is it enough. For the winter there is a stove, which is heated with wood, which will be cuddly and really cozy. Besides, you have wifi :) Since we are also a small organic farm that grows seasonal vegetables, you can buy freshly-picked vegetables and our eggs from our own chickens. From April to December we open every Saturday from 3 to 6 pm our terrace and our kitchen for our Open garden. Here you can get delicious, home-baked cakes, various hot and cold drinks and entertainment in a warm atmosphere. Also on Saturday, but an hour earlier (from 2 p.m.) we provide always a 1hour yoga class for beginners and every two weeks there is also a wild herb walk. For more information look at our page: (URL HIDDEN) We look forward to you :)

Guest access
Of course, you can use our bathroom as well and if you eat breakfast at our house, you will be sitting in our cozy kitchen.

Other things to note
There are no real shopping options In the immediate neighborhood but in the direction of Ochsenwerder, there is a good baker called 'Lütte Backstuv', which has delicious rolls and good bread - Monday is their day of rest. In the direction of Hamburg in the neighboring district of Rotenburgsort, about 5 kilometers or 5 minutes by car, you will find Lidl, Aldi and the drugstore chain Budnikowski, as well as other bakers, pharmacies, a Turkish vegetable shop, a Hermes parcel shop, a small post office and every Thursday is a farmers market.

In the direction of Bergedorf you will find a well-stocked Edeka in the village of Fünfhausen (that's really its name and is also about 5 km away). There is a Volksbank branch as well and every Thursday the fisher cart comes there.

Location

Hamburg, Germany

The area is beautiful and a popular recreation destination. All water sports are possible here and it is ideal for cycling, horseback riding etc. And the best: Despite the feeling of absolute country life, you are in the city quickly.

There are destination restaurants and cafes nearby. At the farm shop Stender in Tatenberg, for example, they have wonderful cakes. Coming from us, take a right before the Tatenberger lock and then about 500 meters.

Going straight through the intersection over the lock, there is a tasty Thai takeaway stand named 'Bamboo', adjacent is the corresponding restaurant. On the opposite side: The town pub 'Elbrücken' with delicious home fries and seasonal dishes for low prices.

Going up Moorfleeter lock, on the corner of the Thai restaurant, Eichbaumsee comes up after a couple of kilometers with a corresponding restaurant. Beautiful for sitting outside.

Continuing along the lock, you will arrive in Bergedorf, a beautiful town with castle (museum for Vierlande and Marschlande there), on Schlossstraße is a good and cheap small Italian place and a little further: a heavenly chocolaterie, where you can have a nice breakfast as well.

The first excursion address in the vicinity is the 'Zollenspieker ferry house' (look it up online), at the southern tip of Hamburg, nicely ride the ferry there and back, eat fries at the Mole, a snack in the beer garden or really good food in the restaurant with water view. Sensational Sunday brunch. A little further is a mill with a Polish restaurant, delicious, and a mill café with great cakes and craft and workshop.

Swimming: Eichbaumsee is locked, but Dove Elbe is next door with a rowing track and places to swim everywhere. The water is clean. You can swim nicely in the Elbe as well. Just stay close to the edge and it isn't a problem. The most beautiful beaches are around the Zollenspieker ferry house (especially at the bus stop Am Sülzbrack) with nudist beaches as well. Nudist beaches also in the bays of Dove Elbe. A huge lake for swimming is on the way to the Zollenspieker (always along the Elbe levee), the Oortkatensee or Hohendeicher See, beach corner with snack stand, with two surfing schools in front of it and a sailing school on the other side. There are also other places to eat, especially the "Vierländer Cafè", a little further on the Gose Elbe you will find Paddel Meier (see on Internet), where you can borrow canoes, also lifejackets for children, paddling in the Elbe branches is very idyllic.

Water skiing can be done at the Tatenberger lock (ask Thorsten in the first boat club to the left at the Tatenberger lock). Opposite the Moorfleeter lock, you can rent electric boats without a driver's license and pedal boats.

Horseback riding is good in Kirchwerder at the Kirchwerder Hausdeich and in Moorfleet at the Moorfleeter lock there are two riding stables, in both is a petting zoo for the little ones: rabbits, goats, a llama, toys tractors etc. Also Vaulting and a great children's riding group for age 4 and up in the Moorfleeter riding club. Carriage rides can be arranged as well. On this dike are old long houses and the museum of the Vierlande and Marschlande in Kirchwerder is also worth seeing (especially during the strawberry festival etc.) There a plenty of festivals. Oktoberfest in Spadenland (gigantic), the famous harvest festival, always firefighters festivities with barbecues, paddle boat competitions, etc.
