Our rustic cabin is located on a large, private cattle ranch and captures the Western spirit and style of the Gold Country. Although the cabin feels remote, it is closely situated to Groveland (5 miles) and Yosemite National Park (first gate 28 miles; 40+ minute drive dependent upon traffic). One can hike and explore the ranch for miles in all directions. It is a charming, picturesque, romantic, and tranquil space for couples to unwind from life's daily stresses and great outdoor adventures.

The space
The cabin was once a hunting and mining cabin and was relocated next to an old sluiceway utilized for gold mining. The small cabin measures approximately 330 sq. ft. and includes a new bathroom and well-supplied kitchen (i.e., kitchenware). It has a spacious wrap-around front porch and side deck. A rustic, Western-style outdoor kitchen for barbecues is located behind the cabin. Situated on the deck are six chairs and a table with two umbrellas for outdoor dining, as well as a Weber gas grill.

Guest access
You can explore any place on the ranch. There is so much beautiful flora and fauna to see. The ridge visible to the right of the cabin when looking at the front porch is a special place to view spectacular sunsets over the Central Valley. Take the camping chairs and tables and enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail while watching the sun go down.

Other things to note
We have compiled a comprehensive binder of information on lodging, restaurants, and activities in several nearby towns and placed it in a leather binder located on top of the book cabinet. Also, you can rent individual camping and trailer sites (a total of six) on the ranch through Hipcamp--an idea for future visits with friends!

Art and design are my passions and I believe they are vital elements in making our experience of life more beautiful and enjoyable. Renovating the cabin was a fun project for us because we wanted to be true to the cabin's history and rustic style, while maximizing its small size through creative design and a dash of luxe. Our family looks forward to our stays at the cabin now and we hope you do, too! The cabin and ridge await you!
