Near the center of Grand Lake, steps from the historic wooden boardwalks of Grand Ave & just a couple blocks from the largest natural lake in Colorado, 6 small cabins have welcomed adventurous travelers since the 1930's. Today, Lupine Village still provides exceptional hospitality at the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, with comfortable cabins that are sparkling clean and thoughtfully updated with modern amenities & extras that make each cabin feel like a home away from home.

The space
Whether it's winter or summer, you'll feel right at home in the the Never Summer Cabin! The bedroom features Tuft and Needle mattresses on the queen bed and bunk beds. You'll stay warm and cozy thanks to crisp percale sheets, fluffy pillows, & down comforter. There's also a queen sofa sleeper in the living area, fully equipped kitchen with coffee, creamer, and sweetener, dining table, bathroom with shower, WiFi, cable TV w/HBO & Roku, and all the amenities you'll need for a Rocky Mountain vacation or weekend getaway!

The cabin sleeps a max of 4 people.

Guest access
The six cabins at Lupine Village surround a fenced courtyard with ample seating, picnic tables, multiple grills and fire pits...perfect for group gatherings. Guests are welcome to visit the Canteen where you can checkout movies, games, snowshoes, YakTrax, yoga mats, beach towels & toys, fishing gear & more! Purchase locally made gifts, souvenirs, sundries, & cold drinks.

Other things to note
In response to COVID-19, we have made several changes to ensure you have the cleanest, safest environment possible for a rocky mountain getaway. We will continue provide spotless cabins for up to 4 people with contactless check-in, disinfectant wipes, soap & hand sanitizer, but we have also added...

- 2 HEPA air purifiers in every cabin- bedroom and living room
- Socially-distanced outdoor seating, picnic tables, propane grills & fire pits (as snow allows during winter)

We also ask that guests (as we are) follow all county, state, & CDC recommendations while on the property and around town. Please stay home if you have a cough, shortness of breath, or fever.
We're also asking that dogs be kept on a leash in the courtyard this summer to limit unintended interactions with other guests.

Being so close to RMNP means there is a lot of wildlife in the area. You may see elk, moose, fox or even the occasional black bear. Observe at a safe distance, dispose of your garbage responsibly and never feed the animals.

We allow well behaved dogs with a $60 pet fee/dog (2 dog max); please see rules for details.

Please contact us if you would like to hold an event/party during your stay.

There are 4 Electric Vehicle chargers in the town of Grand Lake, 2 of which are just a block from Lupine Village. Please do not plug EVs into your cabin without prior permission.

Lupine Village at Grand Lake is located in Grand Lake, Colorado. The town can be accessed year round via I-70, and during the summer via Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park (It is open to vehicle traffic roughly from Memorial Day weekend in May through Columbus Day in October - visit National Park Service for updated road conditions). Please note Trail Ridge Road is closed in the winter, however you can still drive 10 miles into RMNP with access to trails and the visitor center. In order to reach Grand Lake from Estes Park you will have to go through Denver and use I-70.

To access the mountains from Denver in winter everyone uses I-70 so it is highly trafficked and well maintained. To reach Grand Lake you do have to ascend & descend Berthoud Pass. Because this is the same road that everyone uses to reach Grand Lake, as well as Winter Park ski resort, the road is well maintained. We do recommend at least all-wheel drive with all season tires, if not 4-wheel drive.

My work: Lupine Village at Grand Lake
In 2016 we traded our corporate jobs in Denver to own Lupine Village & live in Grand Lake year-round. Travel is our passion, and between us we’ve logged more than 1M flight miles, visited 44 states and 20+ countries. We’ve spent more than 1,000 nights away from home, in every accommodation imaginable- so we've learned what makes a stay acceptable- and what makes it exceptional. We’re committed to providing an exceptional place to stay, in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We love sharing all that Grand Lake has to offer, so if you have a question ask away! If we're not working you can usually find us hiking, kayaking, exploring Colorado, traveling the world, or just enjoying a cold beverage around town. We hope to see you soon!
