Samvit was willing to pick us up from the train station for a fee, which was helpful. He offered us tea and was great at maintaining conversations. Samvit the only issue we had, and I hope you can understand is the food we had the night we came there. On our way home we were aske…

Thank you for your appreciation of complimentary tea which was offered and also thank you for complimenting me for being good at communication and i appreciate your time with us also and the way how politely you were the whole time. I offered you a pick up and set it up for 8:30 pm as you have mentioned to me before and booked a cab for you. Later on you informed me that you misunderstood about the time of arrival and now it would be coming at 7:15 pm and when i checked with the driver he was busy so i thought of picking you up myself so i can welcome you well and make sure i can help and assist you well. I also communicated with you before your arrival and you clearly mentioned that you would not need a dinner with us and you would eat some street food from the train or from one of the stops. When i picked you up around 7:40 pm you and your partner mentioned that you would eat something outside and i was thinking of taking you guys out for some Pani Puri ( Indian street food ) i do it with many of my guests and treat them as a welcome. But as a host i have to stay in my limits and i can not force treats on my guests so i was thinking of dropping you off where ever you would like to go for the dinner. By the time we came home it was more or less 8PM and you started talking to one of our other guests and me and drinking chai and it was around 8:30 when you and your partner decided that you would like to stay home and have food here with us and you would like to have food with us within the next 30 mins . I offered you an Indian Thali which costs around 200 rupees which includes Lentil soup , Unlimited Roti ( bread) two more dishes , rice , yogurt and some salad which basically is lime and onions and some carrot or tomatoes nothing especial. This is also something which is clearly mentioned in our Menu and anyone can read it , this Menu is at the reception and also in the rooms and easily to get access to. If we know in advance then we cook the food at our house but on occasions like this one where we have to offer and present the food within 30 mins time we go and bring the food from a lady from one of the villages where we work with the kids and she is an excellent cook and makes lunch boxes and sell them to make her living. I think its a good idea to support this woman by bring the food from her whenever possible but i am very sorry that you did not liked the flavor of the food and it was not warm. I am also very sorry that this food made your stomach sick i remember after the food i offered you again to treat you for Pani pure and street food and you mentioned you are tired and wanted to rest and of course i respected your wish. In the morning you mentioned you are not well and its the heat which is bothering you but now i know it was your stomach , in my understand as i have spend enough time in the home kitchen of this lady its a clean place but i am really sorry if this food made your stomach upset , however i am glad still in the evening you were fit and fine and was able to enjoy the street food at Sukhadiya circle and truely enjoyed the local food, the night before i also wanted to take you over there but anyways i am glad you were able to enjoy it on your own. Long story short i am extremely sorry that you did not enjoyed your meal with us and thankful for appreciation of the ways i work and try to do my level best to manage things well on my side. i promise you that i would manage it better and would train this woman as well however i can not make it cheaper then 200 rupees as this is one of the cheapest Thali meals you can get at any of the homestays. once again thankful to you for being kind and polite and for being suck a relaxed and peaceful guest Namaste

Thank you dear brother for your review but more then that your time with us. I am happy that you found us helpful and caring , we all try to do our best to please our guests. Its such a joy to know you enjoyed our breakfast, internet and found us caring and helpful. Water Pressure- We are sorry about all the problems you have faced in our house, i remember you mentioned the water pressure one day in the morning at the time of breakfast but it was the same day when they water tank was empty, no one else complained about it after the tank was FULL including you, if you would have mentioned it i would have happily shifted to another room so you can enjoy and experience a better Indian shower. Water Heater- In all of our rooms we have personal water heaters and the amount of hot water depends on how long you keep the water heater on, so simple Math would be the longer you would keep the water heater on the more would be the amount of hot water you will get. I am sorry again that our team was not able to inform you about this and assumed you would know this. Dirt/Dust - No one else complained about this issue before or during the time when you were here but i would like to thank you for bringing this into our notice, I wish you would have mentioned this during your stay so we would be able to resolve the issue. Vikram our manger ( also coordinator of one of our youth centres ) was at least spending 3 to 5 hrs everyday with you and if you would mentioned this to him gladly we would have cleaned the tank. As you have mentioned before we are always helpful and caring towards our guests and really it would be a pleasure to clean it for you in no time. (Normally we clean our water tank every month , this is our normal process) Veg Kitchen - Behind your room door there is a sheet which says daily plan where every guest can fill what they wish us to help them with and it also includes a section which talks about breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would be happy to offer a wide variety of Indian vegetarian food to our guests on demand. In-spite of being a Vegetarian house ( for religious reasons ) we did allowed your to bring meat into our house and our kitchen ( can be a big deal for a lot of Hindus ) and did not took it as offence or considered you as an insensitive person. As far as my memory goes it was 1 time when you had a dinner with us, i am sorry that the 1 dinner which you had with us made you think we would have monotonous dinners. I am shocked it came to your as a surprise that our kitchen is Vegetarian as its clearly mentioned in the listing that on demand we provide Veg food. Did you checked and read the profile properly ? Location - We never claim to be close to the old town, our homestay is located in the new city and just 2 to 3 kms away from the biggest mall of Udaipur. We expect from our much educated guests to read our profile properly before staying with us. The approximate distances to monuments and places of interest are mentioned in our listing. Price - Our place is not for backpackers, its a socially responsible homestay and the money we generate here goes into supporting our staff ( who are all from villages ) and funding our social projects in rural areas around Udaipur. No one in the past felt the price was higher for the stay , a few meals included, pick up, drop off , transportation to and from the village education projects, never breaking three different internet connections, open kitchen to use and raw cooking material. Important - Jose in totality i am both sorry that you did not enjoyed your time with us and disheartened that you did not even accepted the cards made by the kids from the village centre whom you spend all these days. Our Homestay is not about making money from tourists its about creating connection with like minded and like hearted people. I will be happy to refund you the whole amount of money for your stay. Please email me here on air bnb with your (Hidden by Airbnb) details and i would gladly refund you the whole amount i have received for your total stay. For us most important is customer satisfaction.
