A lovely, homely two bedroom wooden chalet, over three levels. The basement level comprises a garage and storage area, above that is the open plan living space focusing on the wood burning stove, with connected kitchen. On the top floor are two bedrooms, one is a double bedroom, and the second room is a family room with a double bed plus a bunk bed (two single beds). There is also a bathroom on the top floor.

The space
A lovely little detached chalet, stood within its own grounds, with nice views across the Montriond valley. The lower level has drive in access to the garage to protect your car from the elements, and store equipment.

The wood burning stove provides a focal point in the living space and the dishwasher and gas stove/oven mark a well equipped kitchen.

Guest access
Ski boot warmer for six sets of boots, garage parking, storage for equipment.

A lovely word burning stove in the living area, kitchen access and all the necessary equipment.

Two double bedrooms, and the larger double bedroom also has single bunk beds for additional guests/children.

A good family bathroom with small washing machine and a shower unit.

Good speed WiFi access in the house included.

Other things to note
The minimum stay of 2 nights is for out of season, so late Spring months and Autumn. In high summer and winter seasons longer stays take priority.

Please bring your own towels. Tea towels will be provided.

Location

Essert-Romand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

This is a lovely little village with it's own quiet identity, yet nestled within the Morzine commune with good bus links to the slopes, or just a short drive to Morzine, Les Gets or the slopes from Ardent Gondola into Avoriaz or Chatel.

There is a lovely Auberge restaurant and bar in the village, just a short walk away. There is also a take away pizza shack just 50 metres from the chalet door which makes for a simple night in, and great value.

We have based ourselves over several seasons in Essert Romand to enjoy the skiing of the Port du Soleil. With your own car it is a 5-10 minute drive to a choice of starting points, otherwise the Balad'Aulps Bus service stops approximately 50 metres from the chalet door and will run you into Morzine centre & Les Gets for a choice of slopes.

The Carrefour supermarket is under 2 miles from the chalet, plus the Tavernier boulangerie 2km.

Hi, I'm an Airline Pilot working from Heathrow Airport, London whilst living down in Winchester, Hampshire. I enjoy the outdoors, especially the coast and doing a bit of running. My other half, Roz, is a physiotherapist, she can run a bit too, having just done her first marathon! We both love the mountains and have bought our first little place in the hills which we hope you enjoy too.
