Sylvie and Mario are exceptional hosts. The accommodation was even better than expected. We were made feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Cannot thank Sylvie and Mario enough for their hospitality.

We had a fantastic stay with Sylvie and Mario. The room was lovely, the house was beautiful but the best thing about our stay was the hospitality of our wonderful hosts.

Sylvie and Mario were extremely pleasant and friendly hosts. We arrived quite late in the evening but they still sat with us and shared several beers and snacks with us. The double bed was extremely comfortable although the single bed that was placed in the room was a bit short for my tall son. They do have a larger single bed available so, like we should have, I would advise any future guests to let Sylvie and Mario know if the third adult is tall. In the morning there is a complimentary simple breakfast (hot drink, bread, butter and jam) or you can have a larger breakfast for 6 euros pp. I would strongly recommend it. We were supplied with fruit juice, yoghurts and so many croissants, pain au chocolate and pancakes that, despite being big eaters, we could barely eat half of it. We were so full that we missed lunch altogether. The farmhouse is just off the A25 so is perfect for a 1 night stopover if you are travelling from Dunkirk to Paris and the nearby petrol station sells the cheapest fuel that we found in France (1.08euros/litre). As you will have gathered, I would highly recommend a stay at Sylvie and Mario's home.

Sylvie was a welcoming host when we arrived, as well as her husband Mario. Not only the spacious room was at our disposal, also a large living & dining room with well equipped kitchen. The house is situated in the lovely countryside, quite close to the Belgian border & you could walk to the Watou-festival until end of August! (URL HIDDEN)

Lovely hidden gem close to the border and all the beauty of the 'le plat pays'. Altough in a hurry, sylvie made us feel at home and comfortable. Good sleep, airy room, some nice extra's @ breakfast. We'll be back!
