From a recent review:

An extraordinary lodging, an historic wood warehouse space from 1300 AC converted into a comfortable, stylish and intimate apartment. The tufo walls, beamed ceiling, division of space and the built in storage make for a relaxed, homey feeling. Every detail is aesthetically well thought out to be reflective of Orvieto's remarkable history as a walled town, while adding whimsical and sophisticated modern touches.

A charming apartment in an ideal location and an even more charming and helpful host. The pictures are accurate - the flat is in a renovated 13th C building. The ceiling is extremely high making the small space seem quite spacious. The bathroom is very small; the shower is manageable as long as you are reasonably slim. The front door opens directly onto a very narrow street so expect noise, especially street cleaners and garbage trucks which rumble by quite early in the morning. The bed is firm by North American standards but comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for breakfast & lunch - we ate out for dinners. Riccardo, the host goes out of his way to ensure you have everything you need and is extremely gracious.

Riccardo made early check in easy and convenient. Apartment was located within a 5 min walk of the main square and less than 15 mins of the train station. The walks were easy, even with luggage. The air conditioner kept the apartment very nice even with high outdoor temperatures. The apartment had plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. We would happily stay with Riccardo again!

This space is very unique with the stone walls. There is a parking lot nearby and it is a great location to get anywhere inside the wall in Orvieto. It is truly a unique home and I highly recommend.

Ricardo's place is cosy, comfy, and felt like home almost as soon as I got there. Orvieto is a great town, and his place is located conveniently to so many places of interest and great dining spots. I especially loved the old world feel of the place with its up to date technology and style.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Orvieto at Ricardo's place. The apartment was artfully decorated with consideration given to both the historical integrity of the space, as well as the inclusion of local artisans. Ricardo also included every convenience. It is located on the ground floor with places to eat and grab a coffee just outside the door. I would also recommend stopping at Ricardo's new food truck right at the top of the funicular. Delicious street eats!

Riccardo is an amazingly gracious and thoughtful host, who adds special touches to his apartment like teas and coffees, plush towels, and lovely amenities. His recommendation for dinner (Mamma Angela near the Piazza Populo) was perfect -- authentic Umbrian/Orvietan food and delicious wine. The apartment is on the ground floor and so very easy to get into and out of -- yet still very quiet as few cars or pedestrians seem to find his little lane. The Duomo is quiet close, as is everything. We very much enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave. If you have the chance, book this apartment!

Quaint, cozy, charming, and rustic flat within a stones throw of the Duomo, restaurants, and shops. Authentic, old wood & brick/tufo interior preserved when converted to this apartment (this was a warehouse space the 1300's!) Cute, whimsical touches (wooden cat & bird carvings, tissue paper flowers, old typewriter, globe lamp, etc). Had all the modern amenities that I needed - even a washer! Although I wasn't able to meet Riccardo, his father greeted me at the door & gave me all of the basic information I needed. Riccardo was ALWAYS accessible by text & replied very promptly to any/all questions that I had. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Orvieto and would recommend this to anyone looking for all the comforts of home but with an authentic, rustic charm. Thank you Riccardo! (1 minor thing - bring ear plugs. Even though the flat is in the ZTL, there are A LOT of cars going by day & night)
