We've developed our property to reflect all the things we love - food, outdoor living, and relaxation. You will find yourself surrounded by an old world atmosphere with brick and iron accents. Come join us!

The space
We have been living on this five acre property for the past 13 years, where we run a market garden selling a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey and chicken to our local community. We really enjoy landscaping and have developed our property from the ground up. Special features of our property include greenhouses, root cellar, wood-fired pizza oven, labyrinth, and sauna, all which we have designed and built ourselves. We enjoy sharing our space and we strive to make your stay special with complimentary extras you're sure to enjoy.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the main part of our home, the patio, back yard, fully equipped gym, laundry, hot tub, sauna, labyrinth and outdoor fire pit. During spring through fall we also offer outdoor yoga classes and facilitated Labyrinth walks (day time and evening by candle light) by appointment for an additional cost, and all which take place on our property.

Other things to note
Our favorite coffee shop is the local Bugwood Bean on Main Street. Bugwood is not only a great place to grab a hot drink but also locally made sweet treats and an assortment of great breakfast and lunch items to take on the go. Favorite restaurants that all Foodies will enjoy include Two Sisters, Telly's, Roadhouse, Aspen Riverhouse and Blue Water. Carla's favorite shops in Smithers include, Heartstrings, Wooden Mallard, Mainerz, Stone Moth, Kitchen Works, Local Supply Company and close by in the neighboring town of Telkwa is the Wooly Ewe. Chatters Pizza is also available at Bulkley Valley Wholesale in the Dairy section in a ready-to-bake form if you'd like to cook your dinner at home.

We live in a very safe and lovely area surrounded by natural habitat that supports moose, deer, fox, bear and the pesky snowshoe hare. We live five minutes from Canyon Creek which makes for a nice but invigorating swim, and an easy hike. Between five and twenty minutes from our house, there is horse back trail rides, the best ice cream around, hikes, biking, swimming or kayaking at local lakes. There are trails available that lead to great spots for spending time at the Bulkley River.

My husband and I have lived on this property for 13 years. We are both creative and hardworking so this undeveloped property was the blank palette we could truly make our own. A garden sanctuary has evolved on our 5 acres and we enjoy hosting family and friends to share in that. We have been dreaming of starting a Bed and Breakfast for a number of years now as we truly love meeting and networking with people and learning through the experiences of others. We live in a wonderful small town that attracts visitors from around the globe who love fishing, hiking and skiing, to name a few of our amazing attractions. We are very pleased to be able to share our space with you and are happy to answer any questions to ensure your stay is a great stay. Carla
