My place is close to Half way between Perth and Dundee, only an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow. You’ll love my place because of the location, the outdoors space, the ambiance, the views, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

The space
Gean Tree is a lovely Cottage set at the top of the estate. Close to the pool and woodland walks, you also have a least two shetland ponies as neighbours in the field next door!

The cottage is all on one level, with a step at the front door. There is a double bedroom, (with occasional bed) and a single bedroom, the bathroom has a bath, separate shower, hand basin & toilet. The sitting/dining room has an open log fire (logs are in the box opposite the front door), TV and dvd player, two armchairs and a two seater sofa. The kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine, kettle, toaster and microwave.

The heating is oil fired and included in the cost.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to stroll around the grounds which were first laid out in the 17th Century by the ancestors of the present owner. Please respect the families privacy and avoid the area immediately around the Castle.

We have at Fingask a games room with a full sized snooker table, table tennis and table football. The pool is heated and open from Easter till October or when it becomes too cold, it is outdoors! Next to the pool is the tennis court, raquets are available for loan from the office.

Other things to note
If there is a wedding during your stay, then please avoid the front of the Castle and the Pavilion, thank you.

Location

Rait, Scotland, United Kingdom

Fingask is a wonderful place to explore! Full of magical places to discover from a Chinese Bridge to an Iron Age Fort. Statues and topiary trees fill the lawns and the woods are great places for an adventure walk or to play hide and seek.

Our cottages are self catering but The Tufted Duck Eatery/cafe is a 10-15 minute walk down the back drive into the village of Rait. Excellent coffee and cake await, along with sandwiches/light lunch/snacks.
Right next door to the Antiques Centre it is good for a leisurely wander around.
Both open Monday to Saturday 10am until 4.30pm, Sundays 12 noon until 4pm.

Welcome to Fingask Castle! The estate sits on the hillside near the village of Rait. A super location for walks and wildlife we have a swimming pool and games room for guest use. A secluded spot but just a short drive from Perth and Dundee we are in a great spot to explore the area or to simply relax and switch off from the wider world. We have seven self catering cottages and nine Potting Sheds which are twin bed rooms with en-suite facilities. All have wi-fi so how connected you stay is entirely up to you! Arlene looks after the bookings Monday to Friday. Andrew looks after bookings over the weekends and evenings. Andrew and Helen own Fingask and live on site year round. Let us know if you have any queries and we hope to see you soon!
