Other things to note
**Horizon Hill has a well. Sometimes (usually in winter) the water is high in sulfur, which is not harmful but has that sulfur smell. Guests are encouraged to pick up some water for their visit. I do!

**While Horizon Hill is set on several acres, sound in the forest travels very well. Please be respectful of other cabins and keep noise levels down during the appropriate times.

**Well behaved dogs are always welcome with no extra deposit. Please bring a crate for when you leave your pet alone and bring extra blankets to cover the furniture.

**The cabin is equipped with a dehumidifier that is located in the basement. During times of wet weather, the dehumidifier will turn on. It sounds like a furnace. In case you're wondering if the HVAC is on, it's not. Just keeping the cabin nice and dry!

**Internet in West Virginia can be dicey. It works 95% of the time, but there are times when it is slow and very brief times where it does not work. The good news; cable TV always works.

**Oh guns! If you love guns, there are several ranges within a short driving distance from the cabin. You may hear (especially on Saturday afternoons) gun shots from the range located inside Cacapon State Park. Don't worry, as stated above, sound travels well, and the range is far away. Shooting stops a 6PM.

**RECYCLING: West Virginia is behind the times when it comes to recycling. If guests wish to recycle, please bag them up and take them home with you.

**Guests are charged a $45 cleaning fee.

Located on a high hill overlooking a large pond and beautiful mountain scene. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets, especially during the winter. A paved road leads directly to the cabin.

During extreme winter weather, guests may need to park at the bottom of the cabin and walk up a short hill, but this is very rare.

A 30-something professional with western roots, I've enjoyed spending the past 17 years living in the Washington DC region, working for community banks, traveling, being a living kidney donor & advocate, and spending time with my husband and Jack Russell Terrier, Phil. I purchased my first cabin, Moss Hill, in 2009 and spent many years renovating it and enjoying it on weekends. In 2015 I decided to try Airbnb, and much to my surprise, the cabin was very popular. I was so pleased with my experiences with being a host, that in 2016 I added another cabin, Horizon Hill, to use and share with Airbnb guests. In 2017 I purchased an 1880's cabin in downtown Berkeley Springs and, along with a friend, renovated over 9 month into what is now Hidden Hill. Being a host has been an incredible experience! I love how guests treat my cabins as if they were their own and I love sharing the West Virginia/Berkeley Springs experience with others. Berkeley Springs is a great town filled with wonderful people. I encourage my guests to get out and meet those who make Berkeley Springs such a special place.
