I am a relatively new Connecticut resident with ties to NYC where I work as a clinician in public schools. This historic home captured my heart and imagination, along with the winding country roads, wildlife and friendly neighbors in this community. Our British colonial 1754 home was a land grant from King Edward II to the owner (the King was attempting a land grab for his soldiers). We are only the 4th family to reside here in 260 years! This hand made farmhouse is nicely situated with a private, peaceful landscape. I invite you to enjoy the birdsong, sweet air and wildlife including a family of foxes that make their home here. Farmstands, stables, several parks, lakes, museums and farm to table restaurants are nearby. It is with enthusiasm that we offer you real respite, comfort and natural calm for your stay. Every effort to please and delight you and your guest is made! Longer term and business stays are welcomed. Airbnb provides us the opportunity for discovery as well as to expand our world community.
