Daniel ensured that everything was in place and was extremely communicative during the planning stages of the trip. Upon arrival he had already answered our questions and the place was amazing!

Great staging point for exploring Detroit. While we didn't meet Daniel he made checking in/out a breeze. Good sightseeing advice and a truly unique Airbnb!

Dan is an extremely reliable and communicative host. The place was exactly as described, with plenty of space for our group of 5 and a really nice back patio area that we used often. The neighborhood itself isn't particularly walkable, but there's several restaurants and grocery stores just a short trip away - downtown was ~20min via Uber/Lyft. All in all we had an excellent time in Detroit and would love to stay at Dan's place again. Thank you!

My family of 5 adults rented this house for 3 nights while visiting family in Detroit. The house is really nice and provided adequate space for us all. We had breakfast facing the canal daily and enjoyed the tranquillity of the water. There is only 1 bathroom, but it was not an issue for my party. Dan was an excellent host and was readily available for any question or concern. The porch was supposed to have been repaired prior to our stay, but due to bad weather, it was completed during our stay. To accommodate us for any inconvenience, Dan granted us a credit to our bill. When we return to Detroit, we would love to stay here again. Plus the house is only 5 min from my great-aunt, which was great!

Plenty of space, drinking coffee on the canal was so peaceful. Lots of dishes, staples, toiletries, even contact lens solution. The area was very quiet and we could sleep in every morning. We did eat at Atwater and enjoyed their beer garden.

We were a family of four adults and the house was a perfect size. It is spotlessly clean, probably the best in terms of the different airbnbs we have experienced in several countries over the last year or so. The house is in Detroit, and like everywhere in Detroit, the neighborhood is trying to recover. Nonetheless, we liked staying here and the location is extremely convenient both to downtown, and to Grosse Pointe. There is a dearth of places to stay in this area- either expensive downtown hotels or chain motels way out in St. Clair Shores (and the latter are neither clean nor even very safe - the last time we stayed in one of these motels, there was a drug raid down the hall). All in all, the location was convenient, the place really nicely restored and comfortable, and the communication from Daniel was excellent. We come to Detroit to visit family and would definitely stay here again.
