Richard's place is great. As advertised. Good location, etc. Unfortunately for my stay, the house smelt strongly of damp. I don't think the house was damp, but the damp wood store next to the main bedroom ensured the house was smelling strongly of damp. Shame, as otherwise a great place.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Stables. Whilst we had everything provided for our stay (dishwasher tablets, cooking utensils, towels etc) these were quite basic. That said, The log burner is a nice touch and the jets in the bath are a welcome feature after a day on the moor. What absolutely made this accommodation stand out from others that we have stayed in is Richard's laid back and friendly approach. As a result, our 15 month old spaniel had the best time, playing outside with his new dog friend,Ella! Previous hosts have allowed dogs but have then been very restrictive but we could completely relax here. The trampoline was also a hit with us!

Easy going country lover. Love Devon and Dartmoor especially in the summer. Really enjoy lazy days on our fabulous beaches and generally being outdoors .
