Tucked away 2 miles up a dirt road, this charming renovated 1955 “canned ham” trailer offers a cozy, nostalgic stay on a secluded 6-acre artist compound.

Located near Pioneertown and Pappy & Harriet’s, it’s the perfect base for exploring—or simply staying put and soaking in the beauty.

The trailer features a comfy bed, vintage charm, and access to an 80-foot shared swimming pool and hot tub (adults only; clothing optional). The vibe is creative, relaxed, and lightly communal.

The space
The Dew Drop is the perfect hideaway for the solo intrepid traveler. A renovated canned ham trailer from 1955, it features a comfy bed and small seating area. The Dew Drop comes with access to a shared bathroom and shared outdoor kitchen.

Located on a 6-acre compound, the Drew Drop offers true solitude when you want it, and easy connection when you don’t. Wander down to the shared pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor kitchen, or adventure into the hills behind the property, where hundreds of acres of pristine government land stretch endlessly—just as wild and breathtaking as anything in the national park.

Please note: this is an adults-only property. No one under 18 is permitted.

The Pool
The pool and jacuzzi span 80 feet—ideal for swimming laps, sunbathing, or soaking in stillness. The vibe is relaxed, clothing-optional, and deeply respectful. Most guests go nude in the hot tub, which is kept warm and ready each evening around sunset.

We aim to foster a space of freedom, ease, and creative communion—with nature and one another. There are few rules here, but a few gentle reminders:

Please rinse off before entering the pool or hot tub—no oils, sunscreen, or dirt.

Be respectful, kind, and calm. This is a liberal, open environment, but we deeply value thoughtfulness.

Some of our closest friends were once Airbnb guests. Others come here for complete solitude. We honor both paths—please do the same.

If you have questions, reach out anytime. Be sure to read the reviews. I hope to welcome you soon.

PS: There is a fire pit. You’re welcome to use it—only if there’s no wind and the weather isn’t too hot or dry. Bring your own wood and please use caution.

Guest access
Guests have access to the pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, art studio, walking trails from the property, and our newly launched Quonset Hut - a multipurpose event space for music, screenings, parties, and more.

Where I went to school: UC Berkeley
Half Italian, half American film director, photographer, passionate musician and co-founder of The Bombay Beach Biennale. I love the intersection of art, community, architecture, design, and hospitality which is fostered by hosting on Airbnb. My grandfather had a commune in Italy where he removed the locks from all the doors, psychedelic exploration was encouraged, free love was practiced, and all were welcome. Today, I feel that we can pursue the same ideals, but having learned from the mistakes and excesses of the 1960s. Airbnb allows us to to have this always evolving, self sustaining communal experience, without the chaos and dysfunction that sometimes came with it (In other words, we get people’s luggage, but hopefully not their baggage!) The films I am most proud of are Being in the World, “a celebration of being human in a technological age” (through the writings of Martin Heidegger,) and Monogamish, a quest to understand love in the 21st century, starring Dan Savage, Esther Perel and Christopher Ryan. These days I spend most of my time playing piano and fiddling with synths and guitars in my beloved recording studio on the Yucca Valley compound or down in Bombay Beach while we plan the next Biennale. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions, concerns or potential creative collaborations.
