The Cedar Yurt is a spacious round building with a queen and a bunk bed, couch, table and chairs inside. A wood stove keeps it toasty in colder months. This yurt is located by our Main Lodge, where there are washrooms, shower, common room, and Bistro. Across from the Cedar Yurt is our "Churt", the chicken yurt, and our vegetable gardens. You can bring your furry friend for an additional $15 a night. Hot tubs are available to rent for $50+tax/night (must reserve 24 hours in advance).

The space
The Cedar Yurt is part of the whole Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort with gardens, forest, apple orchard, Church Pond and access to the Atlantic Ocean. If you like the great outdoors, you can go for walks and swims, rent a kayak, canoe or paddle board, explore waterfalls with two hikes out the door, have a fire under the stars... Or if you're playing an instrument, jam on the stage in our lodge. Or take some time and relax in a hot tub or sauna (for surcharge), join us for morning meditation and more.

Guest access
While staying with us, you have access to two big common rooms in our main lodge. Downstairs you'll find a ping pong/pool table, books and games. Upstairs we have a great room with a big wood stove, comfy couches, lots of books, free wifi and this is also where our Bistro is located. We serve breakfast and dinner, both featuring homemade and as often as possible homegrown food from our organic garden. Packed lunches are available after request, too.

Other things to note
There is no cell reception in Indian Brook. A few kilometers up and down the road, reception is available if needed. Otherwise we have a landline our guests can use and free wifi in the main lodge. Also you should note that AirBnB does not collect tax, so the HST (15%) will be charged by us when you arrive.

Cabot Shores is located in the small community of Indian Brook along the beautiful Cabot Trail. In walking distance, there are artist shops. Besides them, you're really on the edge of wilderness here. Further up the road are more shops and restaurants, but most of them close during the colder months. The nearest supermarkets are in Baddeck and Sydney (both roughly 45 minutes away), small grocery stores can also be found in Ingonish. So it's good to plan ahead and bring supplies if you're planning to cook for yourself.
