During your stay there is plenty to explore. A few miles away are the pretty seaside towns of Cromer, with its shops, restaurants and pier, and Sheringham, where you can catch a ride on the old steam train. Further along the coast takes you to the beautiful coastline of Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster and the stunning Holkham beach which is part of the largest Natural Nature Reserve in the country. Burnham Market (locally known as Chelsea-on-Sea) is well worth a visit with its village green, trendy shops and restaurants.

You may also like to visit the famous Norfolk Broads. Wroxham is a busy Broads town with shops and restaurants and at Wroxham Barns, there is always entertainment for the children during the summer months. Horning is also worth a visit: you can take a leisurely boat trip along the broads, or the more adventurous can hire their own boat for the day! There is a lovely deli, where you can pick up lunch on the way, or eat in the pubs by the river.

Norwich is a great place to visit, with all the high street shops and plenty more, there is something to explore around every corner of its cobbled streets. And of course, you can easily spend the whole day in the beautiful Cathedral.

On the way to Great Yarmouth you will find Happisburgh with its interesting lighthouse; you may see the seals on the beach at Winterton-on-Sea and if not, a walk on the dunes is recommended.

Myself and my husband, Fanos have recently retired to our holiday home on the Norfolk coast. Before moving here, we owned the home for many years and have fallen in love with this part of the country. Originally, we lived in Hertfordshire with a busy business in Enfield, so are now really enjoying the laid back lifestyle and peace and quiet. Our daughter Christina occasionally comes to visit with her little dog, Mycroft.
