You’ll love my place because of it's Victorian charm. A West Side Victorian Heritage Home Duplex/Penthouse built in 1891- Upper flat with private entrance, full kitchen and inside laundry. Sleeps 6 with 2 large bedrooms, 2 queen beds and a spacious sunroom/den with great panoramic views offering a comfy full sized bed which sleeps two boasting sweeping views of Petaluma & Sonoma mountains; Lots of old world charm and lots of light throughout the home which offers the perfect retreat and getaway.
1 big bathroom with shower tub combo and cool glass block wall. Inside laundry room including washer and dryer, huge living room with beautiful hardwood floors throughout and quaint old fashioned kitchen with refrigerator and gas stove. 2000 square feet of bliss. Great panoramic views of West Side Petaluma and just within walking distance to downtown.
You will have access to the entire flat with a private entrance. Inside laundry is available and the house is stocked full with dishes, pots and pans and everything you will need to cook, relax and unwind. The Victorian is 45 minutes to SF, 20 minutes to Bodega Bay and 25 minutes to the wine country. Ideally located for awesome day trip adventures. Guests must book at least a minimum of 2 nights and may stay no longer that 29 days per visit, per booking. I include a lovely selection of coffee and tea onsite for your use to brew to your liking and even have a stash available in the flat of some of my favorite varietals of wine for purchase should the need arise Hooray! I can offer recommendations to some of my favorite restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. Just ask.

I am onsite and available to assist with hospitality, I can also offer recommendations for dining, night life, live music and day trips. It would be my pleasure to introduce you to some of my cherished proprietors in town who I am collaborating with for spa treatments, drink specials and nightlife.

This home has been in my family for 80 years and I am honored to share my space with you. It truly is magnificent and will offer you a wonderful getaway in a home full of charm, love and old world character. Please enjoy your stay, use the kitchen to your liking to cook, laugh and entertain but please do your dishes after cooking and leave the kitchen it in the same condition as you found it.
Petaluma charges a TOT tax: Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is charged in most states, including California, to travelers when renting accommodations (a room, rooms, entire home or other living space) in a hotel, inn, tourist home or house, motel or other lodging (defined below) unless the stay is for a period of 30 days or more. Per Petaluma guidelines: The Transient Occupancy Tax (Hotel, Motel, Campground or Bed Tax) is authorized under State Revenue and Taxation Code Section 7280, as an additional source of non-property tax revenue to local government. This tax is levied in the City of Petaluma at a rate of 10% for accommodations at lodging and camping facilities within city limits. So, Our TOT tax in Petaluma is 10% of your total room fees for your visit. I collect this upon your arrival so please be prepared to present me with that payment on day one of your visit. Check is fine for this fee.
This is a shared Victorian Duplex. The biggest duplex in town in fact. The private penthouse is on the top floor with grand views and spacious accommodations encompassing all of the entire upper flat with 3BD/1BA, inside laundry, full stocked kitchen and grand living room. Our home is just literally 2 lovely blocks from downtown Petaluma which boasts an active nightlife and thrives with shopping and a plethora of restaurants and nightclubs. Due to our proximity to downtown you are bound to hear on occasion, some chatter from the frolickers. It's great to be so close to downtown where you can literally walk to all the great destinations. If you are looking for absolute quiet and seclusion, perhaps choose something else in the country. But if you prefer grand panoramic views, livelihood and the charm of an old Victorian Heritage Home built in 1891 then this is your place. We encourage you to enjoy your visit and live your life to the fullest while you are away from home and sharing ours. Just keep in mind we live below but we are all musicians and night owls so we enjoy the nightlife but are respectful as to not interfere with your (URL HIDDEN) we would appreciate our guests considering the noise level too and hope that if its a week night the wind down could occur around midnight and later on the weekends is fine. This seems reasonable so we can maintain peace in our lovely neighborhood as noise does travel. We encourage our guests to remove their shoes while upstairs and place them on the landing while in the penthouse and this will offer you a lovely feel on your feet from the amazing refinished hardwood floors. It will also eliminate hard noise sounds on the hard wood floors which can be heard below in the main house. No subletting the space, no smoking of any kind in the unit (front yard is fine and we have a smoking section established), roof top access forbidden, street parking ONLY in front of the house on this side vs in front of the neighbors houses across the street and no parking in the driveway EVER as I have a bus business which requires me having the ability to come and go often with the bus and need the driveway available for that at all times. If you park in the driveway and I'm returning with the 25 foot bus ~ I'll be stuck w no where to park the bus! ♡ Thank you for considering the house rules.
