Just a warning to those using GPS/Navigators. Oliviers place is just through the old Port ( tower over the road with archway entry) entrance to the old city of Moret Sur Loing. GPS brought us onto a road that does become Rue Grande once through the Port. Street this side has a different name. We walked to what we thought was the right number and found no-one home. Upon turning around I noticed the street name was different. Our French is very minimal so with my bit of paper with address and accosting all the people walking towards us finally found an older lady who with great gesticulation pointed us in the right direction. She knew Olivier. Phew. We had driven there and found a small parking area to place the car. Only a matter of meters to Olivier's. We arrived in pouring rain. Big red barn style door looking at us but had a speaker and bell. Olivier came out and took us to our room which is situated at the back of the historic property. There are two rooms there. Oliver showed us into ours and gave us the information we needed. Room is comfortable. Has WiFi. No TV. Has a CD player. Found the bed a bit low - that's probably as we are getting older, but was quite comfortable. Plenty of hanging space. Has a bar style counter with bar stools whereby breakfast is served. Again a little difficult for us but would be no hassle for younger folk. There was another table with lower chairs that we used. Breakfast was plentiful with plenty of that wonderful French bread. Olivier was helpful with any information we needed. Ensuite for France is roomy. We had hassles with the shower but that is not the fault of the accommodation. It is us having to get used to European plumbing. Olivier's premises are ideally situated for exploring the old Moret sur Loing. It's a lovely historic town with the river Loire running through it as also being the town where the artist Alfred Sisley lived the last 10 years of his life.

Olivier greeted us very warmly and showed us our very comfortable and quiet courtyard room. He succinctly explained the arrangements and told us where to park nearby. They have a form to order a choice of breakfast items and times. All very efficient. The room was warm and comfortable with a breakfast bar and a good sized shower room, French novels and demo disks suggesting that Olivier may be involved in the music industry. Moret is a charming little medieval town and an ideal base for exploring Fontainebleau or breaking a journey further South as we did. The local rail station on the Lyon line provides easy access to Paris.

I absolutely loved my stay here and found the room to be incredibly clean, comfortable and charming. I feel it is even better than the picture suggests. This location is really ideal, as it is within the "village gate" and you truly feel a part of life there. I was able to walk constantly to all that I wanted to see- and Moret-sur-Loing was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. I would stay here again and again and feel that Olivier and Emilie are even more of an asset to this space then the lovely room itself. They immediately made me feel at home and were available to answer any question I had. Emilie delivered a lovely breakfast each morning to my patio. Both speak English fluently and were a delight to meet. I will recommend this space to many and hope to come back myself in the future.

What a great stay, with a wonderful couple in a "little slice of heaven" Olivier and Amelie went out of their way to make me comfortable and help me get situated for my stay. He helped me rent a bicycle, told me of places to go visit and provided some great advice. The room is practically new, comfortable and extremely clean. The town and its surrounding area are beautiful and very peaceful. Great town to relax and get away from it all. I highly recommend this place as a wonderful home away from home
