Good Mondays Farm is 10 mins off the M4, ideal for visiting the wealth of attractions in the Cotswolds. The Grade II listed cowshed conversion has high beamy ceilings, light spacious rooms with rustic features from the farm in its heyday. The bedrooms have super king/king beds dressed in Egyptian cotton sheets and goose down duvets, all with smart TVs, free wifi, Nespresso machines and a desk. The bathrooms are furnished with a cast iron bath and/or a large monsoon shower with Cowshed cosmetics.

The space
The Cowsheds sleeps 12-18 guests and is comprised of one large house, the former cowsheds, and a 1 bedroom cottage, “The Weekender”, which is literally metres away from the main house. Guests sleeping in The Weekender can share the communal areas in the Cowsheds, whilst also being able to escape to the cottage for a little peace from the rest of the party, if needed!

Together, the Cowsheds and The Weekender comprise of 6 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. All of the bedrooms have a cupboard, desk, smart TV, full length mirror, hairdryer, mini fridge, Nespresso machine and tea-making facilities, and fit a travel cot (if required) and the beds are made up in Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets and pure wool throws.

The bathrooms all have a cast iron roll top bath and / or a monsoon shower, along with fluffy white Egyptian cotton towels and Cowsheds cosmetics. More details of each bedroom below...

Bedroom 1 (“Monday”) is the largest room (sleeps up to 4 guests - 1 x super king, 2 singles), furnished with Volga linen fabrics, India Jane lamps and, in addition to the above, a sumptuous sofa. This also holds a single sofa bed and a single "bed in a box", both, from all accounts, very comfortable and ideal for a family of 4. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a monsoon shower and a cast iron bath fitted with Lefroy Brooks hand-crafted taps.

Bedroom 2 (“Tuesday”) (sleeps up to 3 guests) offers a more contemporary style with a beautiful nickel king sized bed, backed with a panelled wall and warm low level lighting. There is also a single "bed in a box", so a child can also share this room. The adjoining bathroom offers an enormous Lefroy Brooks basin with an extravagant monsoon shower. This bathroom is also furnished with grab rails, so is possibly best suited to any elderly or disabled member of the group.

Bedroom 3 (“Wednesday”) (sleeps up to 4 guests) holds a super king bed, a double sofa bed and 2 other comfortable sofas. The room is multi-purpose, either an extremely large and decadent bedroom with an additional seating area, or perhaps better to divide off the sitting room from the bedroom with the thick linen curtain, still allowing plenty of room for a couple in the bedroom and a small party in the sitting room, or deploy the sofa bed and create another bedroom. The room is dressed with Volga linens and lovely Bronte by Moon throws. The en-suite bathroom is entered by ducking under the beam and through the original sliding cowshed door opening up to an indulgent cast iron bath fitted with Lefroy Brooks taps and a monsoon shower.

Bedroom 4 (“Thursday”) (sleeps 2 guests) is a little smaller and more traditional, adorned with Chelsea Textiles fabrics, a beautiful Pure wool throw, antique furniture and a king-sized bed. The traditional charm flows into the elegant panelled bathroom which offers a cast iron bath fitted with Lefroy Brooks taps and a large monsoon shower.

Bedroom 5 (“Friday”) (sleeps 2 guests) can be used as a twin or super king room. It is situated in the old piggery, again a little smaller than Beds 1-3, but is well-equipped with all the mod-cons and comforts required for a country break. The bathroom has a more eccentric ambiance with the roll top bath decked in old railway sleepers similar to those used in the Piggery of old, and a wonderful copper wash basin.

Bedroom 6 (sleeps up to 4 guests) is in “The Weekender”. It is an elegant first floor room with a large king-sized bed. It has a warm rustic feel with beams floating through the eaves, sumptuous fabrics and quirky soft furnishings. The en-suite bathroom is dark and decadent with a large roll top over-looking the rooftops and a walk-in monsoon shower. In addition, the Weekender has a beautiful kitchen with all the modcons you could possibly require, a beautiful sitting room with a double sofa bed, a desk and a large flat-screen. There is also a gravelled outside area adorned with flowers and equipped with a table, 4 chairs and a barbecue.

The kitchen diner of the Cowsheds has high beamy ceilings and a glass frontage allowing the sun to stream through, whilst adorned with low level copper lighting and glass pendant lighting to ensure a more subtle vibe in the evenings. The dining area holds 2 farmhouse tables suitable for a total of 20 guests to dine comfortably, with a couple of smaller breakfast tables by the windows and a large smart TV. The kitchen itself is well-equipped with a large range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, 2 fridges, mini freezer, bluetooth beatbox, selection of fine bone china, plenty of wine glasses and tumblers, and all the mod cons you could require. We provide a good supply of essentials (including Nespresso capsules) which will be at your disposal.

The sitting room (refer to Bed 3) of the Cowsheds is furnished with 3 large comfortable sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed) topped with Volga linen scatter cushions, a coffee table, desk and a large smart TV. There are board games at your disposal and a selection of coffee table books to browse at your leisure.

Outside the Cowsheds is a small grassed area front and back, a large teak table and 20 chairs furnished with nickel lanterns, and a BBQ (please bring charcoal). To the exterior of the Cowsheds, we are growing a small orchard and you may well see our sheep and chickens roaming free.

Guest access
The Cowsheds is all on one level, except a step up into the en-suite bathroom to Bedroom 3. Bathroom 2 also has several grab rails so is possibly best suited to any elderly or disabled members of the group. Note that, there is a small step into the building at all entrances.

The Cowsheds has its own separate courtyard and 10+ car parking area, as well as a private entrance from the road. The Weekender is on 2 levels, with the bedroom upstairs and a small step into the property.

Other things to note
Children's facilities: 2 travel cots, 2 highchairs, potty, nappy changer mat, child loo seat, step, plastic crockery and cutlery. Please request cots in advance of your stay!

We are close to the Roman cities of both Bath and Cirencester and within easy reach of the pretty Cotswold towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury and in the other direction the Wiltshire market town of Marlborough.

Malmesbury: The current Abbey building dates back to the 12th century and is built on a site of worship used from the 7th century and beside it is Abbey House and Gardens, which has featured on many TV programmes. This truly spectacular 5 acre garden in the centre of Medieval Malmesbury and straddling the River Avon has brought praise from around the world.

Tetbury: Cotswold market town made rich by the wool trade in the 16th and 17th centuries. Today it is well known for its upmarket shopping – antiques, vintage & interiors, exclusive boutiques & HRH Prince of Wales’ Highgrove shop.

Westonbirt: The famous and newly upgraded Arboretum is within half an hour, ideal for entertaining children with a Gruffalo trail and playground.

Avebury: Arguably better than the more famous, Stone Henge, and certainly larger and allowing for much closer access. Nearby are also the other pre-historic sites of West Kennet long barrow and Silbury Hill, as well as Avebury Manor and some lovely walks upto and along the Ridgeway – Britain’s oldest road, with breath-taking views.

Lacock: owned by the National Trust, Lacock includes the famous Abbey and Fox Talbot museum.

Castle Combe: referred to as the prettiest village in England and understandably has featured in many films including War Horse and just up the hill is the famous racing circuit of the same name

Horses: If pedigrees rather than petrol are more your thing, then check what's on at Bath and Cheltenham race courses, which host events all year round including the famous Cheltenham Festival in March. In May the world’s premier 3 day event, Badminton Horse Trials, is held within 30 mins of the Cowsheds.

Houses & Estates: The stately homes of Bowood, Dryham Park and Chavenage are all under 30 mins away and Longleat is under an hour. Bowood and Longleat make for wonderful family days out with Longleat's famous safari park and maze and Bowood's adventure playground and 18 hole golf course. HRH Prince of Wales’ unique garden at Highgrove is well worth a visit (booking required well in advance).
