The Little House is situated in the pretty Bourne Valley hamlet of Stoke, in rural North Hampshire. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks yet is within 20 minutes of the M4, M3, the historical sites of Stonehenge, Avebury Rings, Danebury Rings, and cities and towns such as Winchester, Marlborough, Hungerford and Newbury. For dog lovers and walkers there are many trails and footpaths in close proximity such as the Test Way and Watership Down. For children, TreeRunners is 10 minutes away as is Finkley Down Farm; Intech Science Museum in Winchester is 20 minutes away, and half an hour away in Basingstoke there is the Aquadrome, bowling, cinemas and Airkix, the indoor skydiving tunnel.
The newly converted barn is fully self contained and separate to the house with it's own entrance and parking. Each room is wired for CAT 6 and shares the main house's WIFI.
The ground floor is a stunning open plan 425 sq ft room with exposed brick walls and the original brick floor. The sitting area has a large comfortable sofa, cosy rug and 2 chairs with a TV/DVD/AMP system with surround sound.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and water softener newly installed in December 2012.
Upstairs in the eaves there are 2 bedrooms - one with a new, very comfortable firm double bed and washbasin and the other with 2 single beds and a washbasin.
There is a small shower room with a power shower, toilet and washbasin and a gorgeous free standing bath on the galleried landing. All towels and bed linen are provided.
The Little House is full of charm and character and is cosy and beautifully appointed. Head height downstairs is 6ft 3in.
There are beautiful walks around the Bourne Valley direct from the house. Both neighbouring villages have village shops and post offices with lots of local pubs dotted along the valley.
The house is a cosy, comfortable haven of peace and quiet. We welcome well behaved dogs if they are kept downstairs.
