Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Brekkegarden farm is situated in Gjerdsvika, on the spectacular west coast. The farm house was built in 1893, and whilst fully restored, all the original elements of the building, including the timber walls, are retained. The farms' natural beauty is outstanding, including an orchard, a stream running through, rose gardens, and plentiful opportunities for walks and excursions. We warmly welcome all guests. The farm is particularly well suited for families and lovers of traditional architecture.

The space
Gjerdsvika is a village in the municipality of Sande, just north of Stadt (west cape). The village is small, but has a grocery shop, facilities for petrol filling and a new gym. The townships of Fosnavåg and Ulsteinvik are nearby, and the farm is an excellent starting point for trips to the bird island of Runde. Ålesund is 1h 30 min away and the Geiranger fjord 3h 30 min by car.

Where you’ll be

Gjerdsvika, Møre og Romsdal, Norway

Gjerdsvika is an active and vital local community, with villagers devoting a lot of their time to volunteer work. Adolfbuda, a large two storey boathouse, has become the natural gathering place for villagers and guests, with frequent events. The village is also home to a well equipped gym, a glass art gallery, and a guest harbour. There is an extensive network of trails in the surrounding mountains, and hikers will find three roofed shelters, offering outstanding views over the bay itself as well as the surrounding archipelago.
