The space

Stunning property on the second storey of a stately building, which has been totally renovated whilst maintaining the essence of its distinguished past.

We have certainly fallen for it. As you most surely also will. Its spaciousness, a legacy from the architecture of old, the aristocratic lines of its façade, the height of the ceilings and the magnificent woodwork which gives the large windows and balconies a grandiose character and that slightly eccentric modernist touch so typical of regional Sevillian architecture.

The interior décor is in keeping with all of this, combining classical elegance, a contemporary style and a certain dandy-ish design. The sobriety in terms of colour – greys, navy and dark brown – contrasts with the romantic warmth of the oak wood floors, the refurbished window shutters, and the vintage charm of some of the furniture.

The intelligent distribution makes the most of the 80m2 making up this delightful home. The main living space, accessed from the hall, is a large open area divided into two by statement pieces of furniture. A modern sideboard separates the living area, which is equipped with a large chenille sofa, a coffee table, a side table, designer lamps and two comfortable pouffes with knitted woollen covers. At one end is a small dining area for four or six, nestled in front of a large bookcase and under a distinctive art deco ceiling light. This living area has a large enclosed balcony and gallery overlooking the Plaza de los Refinadores, a charming corner in which to enjoy the sun or a good book, to make the most of the natural light streaming in.

The kitchen is one of the apartment’s distinctive features. Here’s where it all happens! It is part of the living room, yet conveniently separated by a glass wall. This means that it benefits practically all day from natural light. It is equipped to the detail and carefully decorated, so much so that it seems a decorative element in its own right, as well as being a multipurpose space for social and family life. There is plenty of storage in the spacious cupboards, which also house the white goods. The cement tiles on one of the walls serve to add a touch of colour, as a nod to the typical Sevillian architecture of the beginning of last century. White goods and electrical appliances are of the highest quality, and there is plenty of kitchenware and tableware. You’ll never be caught out if guests arrive!

The sleeping area has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Built-in wardrobes provide plenty of space and keeps everything tidy and out of sight, allowing a good night’s rest. The bathroom is fitted with a rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has two single beds and a built-in wardrobe, and next to it is the second bathroom, in simple modern lines and also fitted with a shower.

The Plaza de los Refinadores is one of the most charming spaces in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, surrounded by traditional houses and ornamental trees which provide a welcome shade. It is next to the Murillo Gardens, one of the most romantic spots in the Seville, and very close to the Avenida Menéndez Pelayo, one of the city’s main arteries, on the edges of the old walled city, just a short walk away from all the main sites: the old Tobacco Factory, the Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de España, the Reales Alcázares (Royal Palace), the Giralda and the Cathedral. You definitely want to be here!

this is apartment is very well located to visit restaurants, shopping and sightseeing at walking distances. Roberto (our host) was very professional and helpful with every single detail. His recommendations for restaurants, shopping and sightseeing were very good (great map he prepared). Because of the location you can take a rest in the afternoon and go back at night very easily. The only consideration is, if you are driving, to pay around $27 dlls per day in a public parking lot across the street.

What a beautiful apartment in a very central location. We arrived and were impressed by how helpful Roberto was. In addition to delivering a welcome pack with bread, milk, juice and jams, he took the time to identify tapas bars, restaurants and shopping spots in Seville so we could make the most of our stay. The apartment is really tastefully decorated and it felt like coming home to a sanctuary at the end of a busy day site-seeing. I highly recommend staying here.

Flat was great! Perfect location right by the old town and a short walk to all the sights of Seville. There's loads of restaurants and bars located near the flat, which is located in a quiet plaza itself. 10/10! Would highly recommend!

La casa es una preciosidad, tiene todos los detalles imaginables, desde servilletas de diseño , como todo tipo de gadgets, ademas casi todo por estrenar , el salon es muy elegante, el sofa una maravilla, muy comodo y grande, la mesa del centro para 6 comensales muy funcional, la cocina de diseño, con todo tipo de ollas, sartenes, tostadora, cafetera etc etc , las habitaciones con colchones muy comodos, la principal con una cama king y la interior con dos camas tambien muy comodas, las sabanas eran de lujo, los baños tambien estaban muy bien, superlimpios, y con toallas de gran calidad, como en un hotel de 5 estrellas, ademas nos dejaron champu, body milk,etc .La localizacion perfercta, al lado de los jardines de murillo y pegados al barrio de santa cruz, el apartamento esta situado enfrente de una plazita muy pequeña, no hay bares debajo, con lo cual era muy tranquilo, la unica cosa que nos paso es que la tuna estuvo el viernes y el sabado de ronda , y cantaron hasta las 2 de la mañana, no se si era algo puntual o estaban rondando a una novia , en la habitacion interior no se oia nada, pero en la de fuera si, ya la noche del domingo fue muy tranquila .
