A renovated traditional mansion with wi-fi in the picturesque island of Symi. Sleeps up to 5 persons offering two separate bedrooms. The house is located in the bustling center of Yalos (harbour), but conveniently situated in one of the quiet backstreets.

The space
One of the house’s greatest advantages is its location, in the heart of the port and the proximity to all the restaurants, cafes and minimarkets, as well as the boats that would take you to the wonderful beaches around the island.
Being accommodated in this central location, you may better plan your each day, making the best out of the different experiences Symi has to offer. On the other hand, as Nina’s house is situated in the backstreets, it also ensures all the quietness and relaxation your need during your vacation.

The house was originally built in 1905 and we renovated it, with respect to the traditional architecture and even restoring all the old furniture, dated since the beginning of the 20th century.
Entering the house, there is a long staircase that will lead you to the bathroom and kitchen to your right and the living room to the left.
The kitchen is fully equipped, providing all necessary kitchenware, fridge, stove, coffee maker and a clothes washing machine. From the kitchen you also have access to a small patio in the back of the house.
In the spacious living room you may enjoy grandma’s furniture and admire old Symiot’s skills in wood carving, something that they were famous for. The living room opens onto a small balcony.
Following the traditional interior architecture, the two bedrooms are situated on the “mousantra”, an interior mezzanine overlooking the living room. The first room offers a double bed and the other one, two twins (European sized bed).

Nina’s house can be used a vacation house for families, friends, or couples travelling together. Please keep in mind that, despite its convenient location, this house is not recommended for physically challenged guests, as you need to climb the stairs to the 1st floor of the mansion.
Whether you are travelling to Symi to relax and enjoy the beaches and the nature, or enjoy the wonderful architecture, monasteries and culture, this small island will certainly exceed your expectations and we hope that Nina’s house would be your preferred place to stay!
