This first floor 1 BR is steps away from historic Piedmont Park. Originally built in the 30s, a few blocks from the Fox Theater & Highlands, easy access to MARTA, short walk to Ponce City Market & in the midst of fabulous local haunts. Being a historic building, my place is not handicap accessible and is only accessed via steps from the street to the front door.
Located in a renovated home originally built back in the 30's, this historic one bedroom ground floor condo has original hardwood floors, craftsman style accents, Jacuzzi tub, and washer/ dryer onsite, situated within the galley kitchen. It is steps away from Piedmont Park, the Beltline, and tons of local restaurants and bars.
It is walking distance from the Fox Theater, The Margaret Mitchell House, The Federal Reserve, and a local letterpress is literally next door.
Guests should expect a cozy chaise sofa, classically decorated rooms, antique furniture, a spacious bedroom, free Wi-Fi, courteous neighbors, but NO TV. But in this neighborhood, who wants to stay inside? That said, there are a series of steps from the street to the front door guests will have to ascend to get into the building. Unfortunately, the building is NOT handicap accessible and can be difficult for some people to manage the stairs. ALL PARKING IS ON THE STREET and free in front of the building.
Ponce City Market- originally the Sears and Roebucks building, then City Hall East, has now been converted to retail and restaurant space within walking distance to shop to your heart's content. The heart of the Virginia Highlands is a 20 minute walk in one direction for boutiques and bars. Peachtree St., the Fox Theater, the Federal Reserve, the Margaret Mitchell House, and the 999 Peachtree building is a 20 minute walk in the opposite direction.
Want that epic Atlanta skyline picture on the Jackson Street bridge? Drive 10 minutes south on my street and you're there. This condo is truly in the center of the city, but tucked away in a residential, completely walkable area.
If guests prefer public transit, they will find this spot nestled between the North Avenue and Midtown MARTA stations; both within a short walking distance. All parking is street parking.
If green space is your thing, Piedmont Park (Atlanta's oldest park and designed by the Olmstead Brothers, just as Central Park in New York) is your haven with bocce ball, volley ball, Lake Clara Meer, tennis courts and a dog park- both on leash and off leash sections, depending upon your dog. Feeling like you want to walk the city? Take a promenade on the Beltline, a paved walking path (3.5 miles in length) connecting Midtown to Inman Park, the Old Fourth Ward, and ending at the Krog Street Market. Find outdoor art, a skate park, and tons of restaurants and bars (even a Kroger) along the path.

Shampoo/conditioner and soap are provided in the bath, and feel welcome to take a bubble bath in the tub- the jets are great after a walk along the Beltline or run in the park.
There are extra blankets and sheets always provided for your comfort.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to interact with guests as much as they wish, but prefer to let guests come and go as they please without interaction with me. That said, I respond quickly to messages within Airbnb and leave my cell number with every guest, should they have any needs during their stay.
Other things to note
Before I moved, I had a cat who was in the condo. Those who have cat allergies may wish to choose another location for their stay.
The steps to the front door are challenging for folks with knee issues and the building is unfortunately NOT handicap accessible.
PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED AND SUBJECT TO AUTOMATIC SECURITY DEPOSIT.
Because this is a small residential condo community in an older building, please be respectful and not slam doors/ be boisterous in the hall as voices, steps, and any other activities carry in the buildings. Feel free to use anything and everything in the kitchen, just make certain it is washed and put back in its place before leaving.
I do NOT allow indoor smoking, and to accommodate there is a smoker's porch off of the bedroom.
Pets are welcome, as all of my neighbors have dogs or cats or both! All pets must be on a lease though and please be mindful of disposing of all dog poo.
PARKING BEHIND THE GATE IS PROHIBITED and guests are under surveillance camera when they enter or leave the gate. Parking is limitless on the street.
Hi I'm a young professional, living just outside of Atlanta with my fiancé. I'm self-employed, energetic, out-going, and an animal lover. I love taking part in all of Atlanta's attributes: the local arts scene (Castleberry Hill), music (Eddie's Attic, Lakewood Amphitheater, Variety Playhouse, 10 High, etc.), and fabulous restaurants in my neighborhood (Empire State South, Apres Diem, The Highlander, 10th and Piedmont, Hob Nob, etc.) Most weekends you will find me watching college and pro-football at one of the local bars or tailgating with friends. My home is my sanctuary and place of business, so you'll find I'm pretty organized and my surroundings are plush. My travel style is different though as I try to pack as many things into a trip as I can. As long as I have safe surroundings and a soft bed to land on, the rest is just icing. I want to be out and about as much as possible when travelling so as to not miss a thing! I find that life is less about waiting for the storms to pass and more about learning to dance in the rain.
