A lovely place to stay! I have stayed here twice and love the grounds, peacefulness, and the wood loft space is cozy and spacious. Spending time around the bonfire at the great fire pit is perfection. Definitely will come back!

The moment we stepped foot in Carol's cozy cabin, we felt at home. This beautiful place included everything we could possibly need during our stay, and more. In addition, Carol was completely helpful and accommodating. At the last minute, we decided to skip dinner plans in town for a night at the fire pit. We simply didn't want to be anywhere else!

The skinny on this place - it's a beautiful A frame house located on rugged tree lined property. You have a grill, fire pit, full kitchen, a bedroom and a lofted sleeping area. The loft is upstairs but is open, so it's not the most private. There's one bathroom with an old school shower that you have to hold to use, a minor inconvenience. Also, with any country house, just bring bottled water - although drinkable, the tap was high in sulph (to be totally expected off the beaten path). You're a 10-15 minute drive from beautiful hikes and not much further to lovely New Paltz. Overall you can't ask for more on your weekend out of town! Carol is an extremely gracious host with excellent communication and was very accommodating to our late arrival. We highly recommend this place.
