Tastefully decorated duplex apartment with two-story neo-gothic windows in the heart of the Spanish Colonial enclave of La Candelaria where Bogotá was founded in 1538. The building is an architectural early 20th century jewel and a masterpiece of urban revival; it has housed a monastery, a nunnery and an infamous prison.

With its original lancet arches and vaulted brick ceilings, the apartment reflects local culture and the history of the old city.

Thank you Deborah! We enjoyed having you. Bogota, overall is huge and noisy, and La Candelaria with its narrow streets, quiets after 11pm, but does wake up bright and early!
