Welcome to Toronto! Perfect for families with children, or co-workers visiting Toronto, we are located next to beautiful Trinity Bellwoods Park, a 14.6 hectare downtown Toronto park featuring three baseball diamonds, eight tennis courts, two volleyball courts, an artificial ice rink, off-leash dog run, picnic area, wading pool and children's playground.
You can request our baby and toddler equipment at no extra charge, including: Shermag Atwood™ crib, double sided bed rails, Graco Duodiner™ LX 3-in-1 highchair, Summer Right Height™ Bath Center, Munchkin™ Auto Close Designer Gates, Safety 1st™ Slide 'n Click cabinet locks and Grip 'n Twist Door Knob Covers. Please enquire at the time of booking to reserve these items and so that we can prepare them for your arrival.
You will find the heart of our home is the main floor separate kitchen, powder room, dining room and living room space which seats 8 adults comfortably around a zinc top dining room table. We provide Whirlpool stainless steel appliances including: a 33" French door refrigerator with water filter and ice-maker, a ceramic glass electric cooktop with convection oven, dishwasher, Panasonic microwave and private Whirlpool high efficiency washer and dryer. We have an iron and ironing board, hair dryer in each bathroom, carbon-fibre stick umbrellas for just-in-case, and a yoga mat and roller for stretching.
Our kitchen is stocked with Cuisinart™ stainless steel pots and pans, Keurig™ coffee maker and Cuisinart™ 4-slice toaster and electronic rice maker. If you have any special kitchen equipment needs (Bialtetti™ stovetop espresso maker, Bodum™ French Press coffee maker, French stainless steel mandolin, Lodge™ cast-iron frying pan, cake or bread pans) please mention "Kitchen Equipment" during the reservation and we can make those available to you.
We also proudly use Avalon Organics™ lavender scented bath products (shower gel, shampoo, hand cleanser and body lotion) and Aesop™ bath products (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand cleanser, mouth wash).
Privately controlled Nest heating or air conditioning will keep you comfortable while you surf our high speed Wi-Fi, watch Bell Fibe TV, or listen to your favorite music or our curated playlist on our Sonos Play 1 music system in every room.
The beds all have a Sealy Posturepedic™ tight top firm mattress, and the bedroom window coverings are blackout roller blinds or cotton canvas black out curtains.
Parking can be arranged as either street permit parking or in a nearby Green P Public Parking Lot located two blocks away at the corner of Shaw and Shank streets. Street parking and Green P Public Parking are extra charge. For street parking permit, I will only need your license plate number and the car's province of registration to make the application on your behalf.
If you have any questions or special requests please don't hesitate to let me know... It is my pleasure to source you or your partner's favourite flowers, locate your favourite wine or provide a memorable cheese, paté de compagne and crunchy baguette board... These items will be charged separately from the reservation cost.
If you are pressed for time or are arriving late, please let me know what type of pantry items you would like stocked prior your arrival and I will purchase these on your behalf, and again, I will provide receipts and you can reimburse me when you check in.
Finally, and because there is no where else to list "Checkout" details, I will personally meet you upon checkout to hear about your stay and to receive any feedback you may have (good or bad) to make the experience better for you or other future guests. Most importantly, please do not make any laundry on the day of your checkout - the only thing we ask is you rinse your dishes and put them in the dishwasher. Later in the day we will arrive with a fresh set of ironed linens and prepare the house for the next guests. The most important thing you can do on checkout day is to enjoy the last couple of hours on your visit to Toronto.
With a private front entrance on the ground floor, you will have full and exclusive use of a private 4-bedroom house on the ground, second and third floors.
- 4 steps up to the front porch. This is the main "living floor" level and includes the kitchen, powder room, dining room and living room. There is also a shared access to the shared backyard patio from the kitchen.
- 1 flight of stairs up to the second floor. This is the second level of this house and includes Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Bathroom 1 (stand shower enclosure) and Bathroom 2 (with tub and shower combination). Bathroom 2 also has laundry (washer and dryer).
- 1 flight of stairs up to the third floor. This is the third level of this house and includes Bedrooms 3 and 4.
Interaction with guests
After a personalized checkin to ensure all guests are settled comfortably, I am available at any time during your stay should you have any questions or need anything to make your stay more enjoyable.
If you are traveling alone and would like some company, please let me know and if calendar permits I would be happy to take you to my favourite watering hole, restaurant or gallery space.
Other things to note
All guests are welcome to benefit from our Museum of Contemporary Art - Toronto - Corporate Membership Card. Although MOCA - Toronto will not re-open until the Fall of 2017 (can't wait!) this card gives you access to some of Toronto's other great contemporary spaces, including: Creative Spirit Art Centre, The Bata Shoe Museum, The Textile Museum, Mercer Union and The Powerplant.
1. For everyone's safety and security, only the guests listed in the reservation are permitted on the property. Please remember to bring a government issued photo ID as this is required at check-in.
2. We live in a family friendly neighbourhood so unfortunately we don't allow parties and no loud events after 10pm.
3. In case of emergencies, all guests are asked to fill out a contact information sheet.
4. No smoking in the apartment and strictly no drugs permitted on the premises. Smoking in the apartment will result in a CAD 300 charge for deep cleaning, and possession of drugs will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation and eviction.
5. Unlimited high speed wifi is included in the nightly rate, however all guests must agree to no downloading of any copyright material.
My background and passion has always been accessories and specifically leather goods... I could talk handbags all day! However, last year I needed to reinvent myself after the company I worked for, filed for bankruptcy.
The timing coincided perfectly with the completion of a full renovation on an income property that we had purchased. Inspired by the travels I have had the good fortune to take and the wonderful people I have met, I decided to become an Airbnb host.
