Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.

Casale Fontibucci was by repute the home of Michelangelo’s stonemason.
The Tower dates back to 1100s. Up on a hill, surrounded by olive groves, cypresses and vineyards, you can relax in the park and swimming pool solarium and “touch” the Brunelleschi’s Dome before driving to Florence. Florence 25 m. away offers breathtaking sunsets.

Stefania's place, if possible, is even more beautiful and relaxing than it looks. She is a fantastic host who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make the most of her amazing property. There were several extra thoughtful touches (including a bottle of…

Casale Fontibucci is a truly magical place! This is what escaping to the Tuscan countryside is all about. We stayed in the medieval tower two bedroom apartment, which had amazing views of Florence and the Tuscan countryside. The Casale Fontibucci sits on top of a hillside with…

The property and the views are stunning. The hostesses gracious and helpful. You will want alter your plans and stay put for a few days as it is not overyly conducive to day trips throughout Tuscany. The drive up the hill/mountain is 20 minutes. The drive way is very rocky and…

Thank you Maria for your words of appreciations. Day trips to Tuscan cities can be arranged indeed! Siena, San Giminiano, Lucca, Pisa are 1 h, 1h 1/2 away. Yes, I'm thinking of the other reviews mentionning this. Of course the longer you stay and the more you can plan day…

We had a wonderful stay at the casale. You need a car and GPS to get to this location. The roads are narrow and winding but you are rewarded with spectacular views of Florence from the house. We would love to come back here some day.

Four friends and I had a wonderful stay at this Castle airbnb! Truly beautiful views and outstanding hospitality from the hosts, Stephania and her family. It is very remote from Florence and you would need to rent a car to get there. The roads are also very narrow for a two car…

I’m living with my mother Aurora at Casale Fontibucci from the 70’s; the first 10 years have gone by living abroad, Africa & South America, long periods, and coming back, from time to time, enjoying the peace and calm of the Casale with the family. Getting to know new and…
