Please note that construction is taking place next door at First Light’s new Friendship Centre headquarters, and some daytime noise may be possible.

The Lunar Inn is a culturally grounded guesthouse operated by First Light in St. John’s. Each guest room is private and individually lockable, while the kitchen, dining area, lounge, and outdoor spaces are shared with other guests.
The Lunar Inn offers a calm and welcoming place to stay, with information available on First Light, local Indigenous-led programs, cultural events, and learning opportunities during your visit.
The Lunar Inn is located in a charming historic home, offering a unique blend of character, comfort, and modern amenities.
Our Cultural Host is on-site to help connect guests with potential cultural activities offered by First Light and to provide opportunities for Cultural Learning.
This is a shared guesthouse rather than a private home rental, so other guests may be on site during your visit. We ask guests to respect shared spaces, quiet hours, and one another.
Please note that construction is taking place next door at First Light’s new Friendship Centre headquarters, and some daytime noise may be possible.
Guest access
Guests have private access to their individually lockable bedroom and ensuite washroom.
Shared spaces include the kitchen, dining area, lounge, entryway, and outdoor areas.
Other guests may be staying at the Lunar Inn during your visit, so common areas are shared.
We ask guests to keep shared spaces tidy, respect quiet hours, and be considerate of others using the Lunar Inn.
Some areas may be reserved for staff, storage, or First Light programming and will be clearly marked.
During your stay
Our Cultural Host is onsite Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is available during those hours to answer questions, help guests get oriented, and share information about First Light programs and local Indigenous-led events, and provide onsite opportunities for cultural learning.
The Lunar Inn is designed for independent stays, so guests may not interact with staff outside these hours. Check-in is self-directed, and guests can contact us through Airbnb messaging if they need assistance.
Cultural programming or hosted activities may be available during some stays, but are not guaranteed with every booking.
