The cob cottage was such a beautiful space and Alexis was a wonderful host! We were lucky to have some sun throughout our stay but also had a lovely time just sitting by the fire. We can't wait to visit the island and stay at the cottage again!

We had an amazing stay here! Alexis was a perfect hostess and shared her beautiful animals with us. Waking up to feed sheep apples is a great way to begin the day. The cottage was exactly as beautiful as we had imagined it to be and much more! Thank you again Alexis!

A hand-crafted house like no other; our stay was secluded with framed views of cedar, pine and the visiting flock. Cob cottage is amazing, the amenities are well described, and I highly recommend visiting for a unique nature experience! Alexis was friendly, welcoming and super communicative as we coordinated the trip.

This place is magical. There's really no other word to describe it. The cottage is so beautifully designed and every last detail is so well thought out and meant to be there. Alexis was beyond hospitable (my 4 year old ventured into their home multiple times to play with her sons toys and she welcomed him with arms wide open) Just can't express enough how much this time away with my son meant to us and Alexis helped make it a dream come true. The island is so cool with alot of great little spots. The ultimate spot to chill out.

This little corner of the world is nothing short of spectacular. Definitely has a gentle way of reminding one of the importance of quiet in this world. If you're looking for a little taste of the fairytale experience, you've found it! Thanks again to the wonderful hosts, Alexis and Manny. The stay was beyond comfortable.

I am a rural mama of twin boys. I also have a serious knitting habit. (tktl on Ravelry). We have a heritage orchard, chickens and sheep. We manage to stay crazy busy on a quiet and relaxed island. My husband, Manny, is a software developer (borsboom on Github) and works from home. He is an avid cyclist and kayaker. He is also a Dutch citizen. We have a very low tech lifestyle outside of Manny's work.
