About this listing

This description was automatically translated from French using Google Translate and may not be completely accurate.

200 m from the center of the village, in a small quiet street by the river, small independent dwelling, adjoining the main house, built in the old mill Villefort.
40m2, nicely restored, can accommodate from 1 to 4 people.

The space

I tried as much as possible during the restoration to retain all the charm and the old character of the house by leaving exposed beams and stone frames. I propose a room with a double bed (160x200). In the living room a sofa bed can sleep 2 more people. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, electric oven, microwave oven, gas hob, vacuum cleaner and washing machine. A small closed and flowered courtyard is arranged with living room of garden and barbecue. Linen and towels are included in the rental. I put at your disposal books and some DVDs and games. Special for families: a small folding bed, a high chair and a small plastic bathtub are available on request and at no extra charge.

Guest access

The small house is unfortunately not very accessible to people with reduced mobility because access is via a stone staircase about ten steps.

Interaction with guests

The small house of the mill is completely independent of my accommodation but I am always available to give information about the region and the activities to do in the surroundings.

Other things to note

A city tax is payable locally. Allow € 0.45 per night and per adult from 18 years
During the winter period I put at your disposal wood to make some outbreaks, if you want more wood you can always buy on the spot.

A beautifully presented small home very close to the town centre. Great base for winter walking, and long evenings in front of the lovely stove.

Our stay was one oft the Main Highlights during our holiday. the pictures from this place were already amaizing, that is why we booked it at first but the moment we entered the little mill and got to know Martine, we completely fell in love. She is a warm and more than helpfull person, always there for you and put all her heart into the restauration of her Mill which you can feel in every corner. The area around the house was really worth hiking. Thanks again to Martine for the helpful navigation tips. If you look for a lovely place to stay, combining romatic fireplace and beautyful well equipped rooms and the meditative sound of the river when you open the window, this is THE Place to stay!

We felt really welcome from the moment we started to communicate with Martine. We would have loved to have met her, both because she had spent some time in our part of the world and - more important - we would have liked to thank her personally for such kind hospitality. In her absence, Martine's friend gave us all the information that we needed about both the apartment and the region, the latter greatly enhancing our stay. We thoroughly recommend La Petite Maison, for its calm elegance and comfort, and beautiful walks to be found in the rugged, surrounding hills.

We had a wonderful stay in Villefort. Martine was a great host. She always had really interesting information to share about the area and suggestions for walks and bicycle rides. The house was great - it's better than the photos! The amenities were perfect - a really well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. An added bonus was being able to fall asleep listening to the peaceful sound of the river.

We had a fantastic stay at Martine's mill! Martine is such a wonderful host - welcoming, friendly, attentive to our needs and very resourceful. She explained to us the history of her mill, which is a few centuries old, suggested delicious restaurants, stunning hikes, beautiful villages and castles to visit. The place is renovated beautifully highlighting original stones and wood, and is furnished and decorated in a very cosy and comfortable way. Thanks Martine for having been such a kind host and treating us with goodies such as home made jam! We'll definitely come back!
